Fully self-contained, single-fronted, two bedroom cottage well located within the Tocumwal retail precinct and across the road from the Murray River. The cottage would be suitable for a family or up to two couples. No pets are allowed and there is a no smoking policy.
The cottage is a great base to relax and unwind and to explore Tocumwal and the surrounding area. Golf, fishing, boating, canoeing and gliding/flying are some of the sporting activities available in the area and there is a public swimming pool situated just a short walk from the cottage. You can also enjoy varied shopping experiences and explore the many walking tracks, historical buildings, museums, and points of interest. Tocumwal also boasts of its many dining experiences ranging from bakeries and cafes to pubs, clubs and restaurants.
The cottage is well setback from the street frontage and has an attractive front garden. From the front door, a hallway leads to the kitchen in the centre of the cottage. The hallway has doorways providing access to a spacious main bedroom and a comfortable living room.
The main bedroom has an outlook onto the front garden and it contains a queen size bed, bedside tables, lamps, wardrobes and drawers. There is also an extra fold-down bed stored under the bed available for use.
A smaller bedroom off the kitchen contains a double bed and a small single bed, bedside tables, lamps and a robe.
The living room has a gas log heater, a three seater sofa, two armchairs, reading lamps, a large coffee table, a small library, some games and a TV, DVD and CD players, together with a collection of DVD's. There is no WiFi available.
There is an evaporative cooling system in the cottage and overhead ceiling fans exist in the living room and in both bedrooms. An electric blanket is provided on the queen bed and the double bed.
Although there is no dishwashing machine, the kitchen is otherwise fully equipped and includes a microwave, full size fridge and a stove top with grill and oven. Crockery, glassware, cutlery, utensils, pots and pans, kettle, toaster, sandwich maker and blender are provided. One continental breakfast will be supplied. This includes cereals, spreads, juice, milk, tea and coffee.
There is a spacious bathroom containing a vanity basin and mirror and a large walk-in shower. There is a separate toilet and a laundry with washing machine, dryer and sink. An iron, ironing board and clotheshorse is available for use.
A secluded north-facing patio area with pergola contains a swing seat and a table with chairs and has an outlook over the rear garden. Coloured fairy lights around the patio can be switched on at night. To the rear of the garden there is space for parking of up to two vehicles. Access to the parking area is via a rear laneway. A full size clothesline is also provided adjacent to the parking area.
All linen will be provided on the queen, double and single beds. If the fold-down bed is to be utilised, you should take your own sleeping bag. Towels and soap will also be available to make your stay more comfortable.
