The first has a comfortable queen sized bed.The second has a double bed.The third has a 3/4 bed and a single.This versatile configuration enables holidaymakers,families and those coming to Armidale in work groups to find the perfect accomodation.Located midway between Sydney and Brisbane, Armidale is a logical geographical stopover. Linen and towels are included in the tariff.
As the house retains it's original shingle roof and first ceiling beneath a corrugated newer roof and ceiling, the insulative qualities of Marsh House are superlative.In the winter it is heated by electric heaters in the bathroom and third bedroom and a slow combustion wood heater in the sitting room.This is easy to ignite and keeps the house extremely cosy ,especially as the old house has thick walls and retains the heat well.Wood is supplied .
In summer these same attributes keep the house very cool.Iron security doors ensure the house is locked at night but facilitate cooling down the building again .It can then be closed up in the morning and stays cool.
The exterior of Marsh House includes a medium back yard and garage .Several cars can be parked off street.The house is located on the central southern hill of Armidale, at the quietnon highway end of Marsh St. Knights Corner Store is a convenient 2 min walk away but Coles and downtown amenities are only 5 mins down the hill. The University of New England would be an 8-10 min drive away or buses leave from the CBD outside the Post Office to go there.
