The home is located 1km west of the Main Street and is easy walking distance to the heritage railway station and various other attractions. It is far enough away from the town to be very quiet at night and due to large block of land it is very private. Perfect for a family holiday or romantic getaway.
The home is located on 2 acres with plenty of fenced yard space for kids and dogs to explore. Partially renovated in the past 3 years the home has a modern kitchen, bathroom and toilet and has a wood fire combustion oven that warms the whole house during the cold winter mornings. To assist with heating the main bed and lower bunks have electric blankets as well as electric heaters. The kitchen features a 120cm Blanco gas cooker / electric oven.
The home is very comfortable for a family with a large Queen bed for the adults and a bunk room with 4 beds for the kids or other adults. Plenty of DVDs and books are on hand and the kitchen is a chefs delight to create some beautiful meals using the local produce.
The lounge and kitchen lead out onto a covered deck with gas BBQ with steps leading from this to the landscaped front gardens. Two undercover garage spaces are also available.
The home is around 70 years old and retains a lot of its original charm blended with modern conveniences.
A full laundry with fisher and paykel washer and dryer is also available for use for longer stays.
My family have been spending winter holidays in the home and Tenterfield for the past 10 years - it really is a beautiful region with plenty to explore.
PLEASE NOTE: that due to availability of cleaners who you need to pick keys up from on arrival, even if calendar shows the property is available, there may be times that unfortunately we cannot accept a booking request. Please try and make your booking request at least 4 to 6 weeks in advance if possible.
