The Dairy is your private, relaxing 1 br holiday cabin set on 45 acres of partly cleared/forested lush land, bordered by the river and sub-tropical Dorrigo Heritage Park. Relax and soak up the natural beauty of the gardens, views and the sights and sounds of farm & bird life. Walk, swim in the river, kayak, relax, enjoy. Just 15 minutes drive is Bellingen town with an eclectic mix of quality cafes & shops, restaurants, festivals, events, music, art & craft, markets, more.
You can access The Dairy via a separate driveway entrance and park right outside your accommodation, ready to unpack with ease.
Interaction with Guests
Your hosts Mindy & Stuart welcome you to Moo River Farm and will be available to ensure your stay is as tranquil, comfortable and pleasant as possible. Beyond that you may engage with us in person or, when we are not there, by phone as much or as little as you desire. As it is a working boutique farm, we may cross paths. However rest assured your privacy is respected.
Summervilles Road consists mostly of boutique hobby farms and is nestled between the Bellinger River, the world-heritage-listed Gondwana rainforest and the majestic Dorrigo escarpment - with waterfalls and walks, the Promised Land/Gleniffer and the Never-Never Creek to the north, and Waterfall Way to the south taking you into Bellingen town in just 15 minutes. Alternatively, add another few minutes and take the scenic route through stunning Gleniffer and The Promised Land into town.
Your own car is best. For the fit and active, bring your pushbikes.
The Dairy Bales is a lovingly converted, rustic one bedroom fully self-contained cabin approx 50m from the owners’ home and screened for privacy.
Ideally suits couples, or cosy family of up to 4. The 'library' sofa folds out to 2 single beds in the living area to accommodate 2 extras.
Main bedroom has queen sized bed with quality linen and mozzie net canopy.
Lounge room has 3-piece lounge, small dinner table, TV, Wifi on request and limited data, iPod dock, DVDs, books, games.
Large windows and doors can be thrown open in the warmer weather and a pot belly fire is easy to use as a romantic, rustic way to make the place toasty warm in winter.
Bathroom has a relaxing bath & shower.
Kitchenette consists of convection microwave, cooktop with 2 gas jets, basic supply of pots, pans, plates, cups, glasses, cutlery etc and basic cooking spices, spreads and sauces.
Large deck to relax on BBQ and cast iron chimenea are included, listen to the sound of the river, eat under the stars and generally watch the world go by.
Breakfast hamper at the beginning of your stay includes MooRiverFarm eggs, tomatoes, plus locally sourced muesli, fresh bread, mushrooms, marmalade, milk, butter, and a range of teas. There are brilliant cafes in town for what is arguably the best coffee around.
All water is sourced from the creek running through MooRiverFarm, which is pristine with a mineral like quality, suitable for drinking straight from the tap.

15 acres is sub tropical rainforest, joining the heritage listed Dorrigo National Park and Great Dividing Range there are walking tracks up the mountain for the energetic.
Bellinger River lines one side of the property and is accessible for swimming, kayaking etc.
Star gazing is just amazing on a clear night - see if you can touch the Milky Way
There are chooks, horses and cows, fruit and macadamia trees, and a veggie patch and herbs. Eggs and in-season fruit, nuts and veggies are available.
No PETS please. We have an affectionate Springer Spaniel who will happily take cuddles if you’re inclined.
