Figtree Cottage is a truly unique and very special residence offering serenity, privacy and space. A pet friendly 5 acres only 5 minutes drive from Bellingen's cafes and boutiques.
The cottage is a comfortable and spacious 3 bedroom mud-brick house in a semi-rural small acreage setting. It is a perfect house for small groups or a romantic getaway in all seasons, with or without a furry family member. The location makes it an ideal retreat for those who love nature, or just want to unwind in a private, but not isolated location, just 6 minutes from the centre of Bellingen.
The open plan living/kitchen/dining room has high raked ceilings and opens to a large partially covered deck overlooking the creek. The deck is a great place to relax, chill, enjoy the outlook, and birdlife in the creek and gardens around the house.
The living area features a large modular leather lounge, reverse cycle air conditioner, TV, DVD, stereo, local telephone, books and assorted games. Wi-fi is available throughout the house.
The kitchen is well equipped for self-catering, with a large fridge, gas hotplates and oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, lots of crockery and glassware, plus a gas barbecue on the deck. You can dine either indoors or out, as suits your mood and the weather, both dining options seat up to 8 people.
There are 3 bedrooms, 2 with queen beds and the third bedroom a double bed. All bedrooms have oil-filled heaters for winter comfort.
The modern bathroom is well appointed with a toilet, vanity, and combined shower/bath.
We consider your pets to be part of your family and we welcome your pets! A fenced house yard immediately adjoining the house and deck permits dogs to run around and play freely. Well behaved dogs are permitted in the house (with supervision), dog bedding is available, if required. This is a rural area with livestock nearby, so pets must be under your control at all times.
Beyond the house and deck, there are 2 hectares of land to explore, with plenty of grassed paddock, and easy access to the creek. Some of the gardens are a little wild and weedy – rehabilitation and weed removal is an ongoing project.
