Gulwanyang - Our property means Black Swan in the local Aboriginal dialect. Black Swans are renown in the area and you often see them in the Lake and we felt it was a fitting name.
Our property is a 5 bed room brick home and since purchasing it we have put a lot of love into to make homely and comfortable for quests to come and enjoy. We have always wanted a property at this part of the world as the area is so serene and has so much to offer. We are really excited to be able to open our space to you to enjoy and reconnect with nature.
Gulwanyan boasts all new furnishings and beds along with a fully renovated kitchen with state of the art appliances to make your stay comfortable and memorable.
You will have access to WIFI and apple TV (if you have your own log on you can log in and watch your own movies) or you can access the movies we have already purchased.
Our home is children & pet friendly. With lots of toys and games along with a chalk board for the kids to draw on to their hearts content!
The master bed room is on a separate floor and very private from the rest of the house. It has a spa bath ensuite and walk in robe with office/lounge area along with wrap around balcony with comfy sofa's to watch the sun rise or just read a book.
The property is on 14 cleared aches and has views of Wallis Lake. The front yard is perfect for picnics, outdoor activities and exercise (if you choose).
Linen is supplied for all bedrooms along wth pillows and blankets. If you do have a special pillow please bring it as our pillows are standard comfort.
The area boasts lots of attractions from Blueys/Boomerang and Elizabeth beaches a 15 minute drive - they are some of the best beaches NSW has to offer.
The shops have all the necessary requirements for a great stay including bottle shop with gourmet deli items, grocery store plus various options for casual dining.
There are a number of National Parks where you can go on nature walks and hikes depending on your level of fitness.
The area is known for its Sydney Rock Oysters and you can get a great deal in local fish shops or if you want a special order we have contacts who can get you the freshest oysters with a days notice.
Our property is a 5 minute drive from Coomba Park Wharf - if you are into fishing or water skiing it is a perfect location to get to the best spots the lake has to offer. Easy mooring and jetty access.
There is also a kids park.
To get to Forster, which would be the closest town you would be looking at a 30 minute drive. You will find the full complement of shops at the Stockland Shopping Centre and on the main street you will find great cafes and boutiques.
There are local restaurants and RSL clubs within driving distance to have meals etc but we recommend you do a decent shop so you are fully equipped. We will have the basics available, toilet paper, salt/pepper along with some staples. We also have a coffee machine for your convenience.
Our property is ideal for families or groups of friends who want a out of city get away with the comforts you would be looking for to unload the car and enjoy! The area is hosting more and more out of town weddings and events and our property would a ideal location to host a large group if you are thinking girls weekend and want some fun, pampering activities - we can help you arrange it all!
