Less than 3 hours easy driving north of Sydney, and only 20 minutes to the stunning beaches and lakes of Forster is this amazing, diverse farm.
This farmstay has won Gold at the NSW Tourism Awards and SIlver at the QANTAS Australian Tourism Awards for the great holiday experience and facilities it offers. Most guests stay between 3 to 7 nights to make the most of all the farm has to offer.
Honeycomb Valley Farm has a 4 bedroom homestead, and also 2 x 2-bedroom cottages if you would like to get family and friends together for a private getaway. These cottages have a separate listing on Stayz.
Your host will welcome you and come to the farm each day if you like, and spend a few hours with you each morning immersing you in farm life. Get to know and help look after alpacas, sheep, horses, goats and the cutest miniature cows Collect fresh eggs for breakfast. Learn about stingless native bees, honey bees and all sorts of amazing plants from turmeric to tulsi, pomegranates to pecans, carob to coffee. Enjoy a ride in the quadbike trailer or in the back of the farm ute during your stay - or just do a lot of nothing, relaxing under the trees or by the solar-heated pool.
The farm is not only powered by a 10kw solar system, but you can also experiment cooking your meals outside using solar ovens and a solar BBQ don't worry - there is a conventional oven in your homestead too and a BBQ of course.
Your host will show you all the great spots on the farm so you can then enjoy the farm at your leisure

The solar heated pool is great to cool off in, or try out the pedalboats on the dam. The farmhouse also offers airconditioning/heating/fans and a great fireplace for winter so you'll definitely be comfortable.
The farmhouse is away from the two cottages and the farmgate shop, but within easy walking distance if you're staying with friends. It has recently been totally fitted out with new furniture, beds, linen, dining settings and more.
The farmhouse is a really comfortable 4 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. All the beds, mattresses, furniture, linen and crockery is new as of March 2016. Your stay includes linen - sheets, bath towels, pool towels & doonas/blankets. There is a washer/dryer, electric oven, full size fridge/freezer + dishwasher.

The farmhouse is fully equipped with all cooking utensils as well as games and books. The farmhouse is located right next to the large vegetable garden where you can pick produce and herbs for dinner. There is a large, square table for 8 for dining, as well a table for 6 for casual eating.
All on one level and has a large undercover area for entertaining as well. It's located next to the solar-heated pool.
The farmhouse has wi-fi, great mobile reception and Foxtel and is just 2 minutes from the thriving little village of Nabiac where you can enjoy cafes, unique shops, the bakery, grocery stores and the Nabiac Hotel which has a great family friendly bistro. An easy 20 minute drive East brings you to the gorgeous beaches and lakes of Forster so you can enjoy some surf with your turf, go kayaking, pick up some fresh oysters and spot the local dolphins There are also wet weather activities available in Forster including the Movies, bowling, indoor laser tag and indoor mini golf...though wet weather at the farm is fun too
Wineries, the National Motorcycle Museum and local farmers markets offer some other great fun things to do in the area.
EXTRAS for the kids
If you're travelling with children, they will just love Honeycomb Valley Farm. There is so much to see and do and be involved with. There are ride-on pedal tractors, friendly animals, tyre swing, massive sandpit, obstacle course and pedalboats on the dam...not to mention the solar heated pool. Get those little legs worn out exploring the 90 acres, show them how to toast a marshmellow on the campfire and let them absorb all that nature and farmlife have to offer. Bring their bicycles if the kids want to explore the farm on wheels.
If you are a group of friends, no matter the age, you will have a wonderful time here exploring and recharging at this beautiful farm.
