Spacious, no steps & in a quiet cul-de-sac location in Forster Keys one minute from the lake/boatramp. With its own north-facing saltwater swimming pool, entertaining areas and fenced lawn this is a great family home. Heaps of toys/games for the kids. Large level block 726sq/m which has separate lounge, dining. kitchen/family & sunroom. The lounge area and hallways are wooden floors while the living areas have recently been tiled. Three bedrooms are carpeted and the fourth bedroom has wooden floors. Safety rails in the shower as well as a step-free house make this ideal for those who are not so steady on their feet. As well as ceiling fans there is a reverse-cycle air-conditioner/heater in the living areas, which will keep you warm in winter and cool in summer. The bedrooms have: queen bed, queen bed, double bed and 2 singles and 1 queen bed. There is also a port-a-cot and a high chair available but these must be requested on booking. All of the bedrooms have ceiling fans as well. The bedrooms all have ceiling fans and security screens on them so that you can sleep at night with the windows open to let the night breezes in - much more comfortable than stuffy rooms with the windows closed,

The kitchen has all the pots and pans you need to cook up a storm. The oven and hot plates are electric and there is a microwave oven and a dishwasher. There is a large dining table plus extra room at the breakfast bar.

Amenities: Full bathroom with separate bath and shower, two separate toilets as well as a large laundry, which has a front loader washing machine and clothes dryer. Washing powder etc. is provided. There is an outdoor shower near the pool and the spa as well.


The sunny, north-facing rear yard consists of a secure, fenced grass area. The saltwater pool gets all the sun and is lovely and warm seasonally. It is very private. There is an outdoor setting under our new covered awning area and a gas BBQ under an awning behind the pool area. The pool area is enclosed and has large paved areas with sun-chairs for your enjoyment. If you do not want to leave the house you will still have a great holiday There is an outdoor shower near the pool cold water only.


The spa is a lovely treat especially during the cooler months. As the yard is north-facing you can enjoy the winter sun and even plunge into the pool after your hot spa if you so like. The spa seats up to five persons. On arrival at the house we ask that you call the manager who will come down and show you how the spa works just one button to push and answer any queries you may have about the house or Forster itself.


A new large undercover area has replaced the market-garden umbrella. The outdoor setting is set up under this, which is great for meals and relaxing with a drink beside the pool. From this vantage point you have a great view of the pool as well so you can watch the children while relaxing.


We do understand that many families would not consider going away without their four-legged friend. 'Forster Lakeside' is dog-friendly for dogs over 12 months of age but dogs must be requested on booking. Dogs are permitted inside at this house but they are not allowed on any of the furniture and especially the beds. They are also not to be left inside the house in your absence. There is a sunroom at the rear of the house that can be shut off from the main part of the house. In the door leading outside from this room there is a doggy-door for smaller dogs and dogs may access this room when you are not there. We do request that you bring your dog's own bedding to make him or her feel at home as well as their own bowls and any other doggy needs. The yard is fully-fenced and secure. For health reasons dogs are not permitted in the pool/spa areas nor in the pool itself.

It is only a 2 minute walk to the lake where there are many beautiful walks. Take your dog here for a lovely, peaceful promenade and enjoy the lakeside quiet. These areas are shaded and interesting and the perfect way to end your day.

For those of you who are not travelling with your dog rest assured that on entering the house you will not be able to tell that a dog has been in this house before you. Our cleaners do an excellent job - please check the 'Guest Comments' for reviews of the cleanliness of the house. We are lucky that our house attracts dog owners who are happy to find accommodation set up for their four-legged friend. Consequently, they endeavour to look after the house as if it were their own. Most people leave the house as they found it.

Dogs must be requested when booking. We accept dogs over 12 months old only. All dogs must have their vaccinations up-to-date. We also recommend that dogs are treated for ticks and fleas.


The original linen press is chock-a-block full of toys and games to keep your children amused.

There are multiple DVD's to watch on the DVD player.

We do request that as some toys and/or games have small parts in them that parents/responsible adults check that toys/games used are suitable for their child/ren.


This house is two minutes' walk from beautiful Wallis Lake. Lovely lakeside parks are wonderful areas for peaceful walks. Although this house is not right by the beach a 3-4 minute drive away what more could you want for your holiday stay?? Unless you are staying right on the beach you will probably need to take your car to go there anyway, as we all know how much stuff' we end up taking when going to the beach, especially with children - boards, towels, clothes, food, beach chairs, umbrella, esky etc etc. If you are going to drive one minute to the beach why not drive 3/4 minutes knowing that once home at 'Forster Lakeside' there is plenty for the kids to do so you do not hear, 'Mum/Dad, what can I do?' If they get tired of the pool - and does that actually happen?? - there are lots of games, toys, DVD's and so on to keep them amused. As this house is located in a very quiet cul-de-sac location in the flat, lakeside area of Forster Keys it is a wonderful place to ride bikes as well. Forster/Tuncurry has a wonderful network of riding paths along many of the roads in town.


We now have security keypad entry. Once all monies have been paid and paperwork received you will be given a code so that you will be able to access the house with your security keycode. This is particularly handy for those people who arrive after hours as it means that you can arrive any time in the evening without having to pick up keys elsewhere.


Forster has everything you could want in a holiday. 'Forster Lakeside' is a flat 2 minute walk from Wallis Lake, which has great fishing. Also 5 minutes away on foot are the corner shops butcher, greengrocer, baker/pieshop, newsagent/general store/bottle shop, take-away/fish & chip shop and hairdressers/beauty salon. The beaches - One Mile, Main Beach and Pebbly Beach, the Aquatic Centre with its 3 pools, gyms, spa and sauna, Forster Golf Course, Forster Bowling Club as well as the new Stockland shopping centre are all less than 5 mins away.

For those who love boating, there is a public boat ramp one minute's drive away in Forster Keys. Great for water-skiing. There is a public barbecue facility with lots of shade there as well.

The surrounding area has some great attractions for all ages but if you just want to lie back and unwind while the kids play in the pool then Forster Lakeside is what you are looking for.


Sunchairs in the pool area will help you to unwind and enjoy your stay. The large 55" television is great viewing. Boxes of toys are in the toy cupboard to help keep children occupied. There is another TV/DVD player in one of the sunrooms. If you require anything else for your holiday we are happy to see if it is available locally for you.

Bedlinen, blankets and pillows are included and all beds shall be made up ready for your arrival as we know that the last thing you feel like doing when going on holidays is making beds after a long drive. Please bring your own bath and beach towels and bathmats. We supply blankets and/or quilts but if you think you feel the cold badly please do bring extra blankets.

There are port-a-cots and highchairs available but these must be requested on booking for availabilty as we have a limited number of these. Please bring your own cot linen/blankets/pillow for your child.

Tea towels and a tablecloth are provided as is washing powder, detergent, alfoil and clingwrap, cleaning products etc. There are toilet rolls for your arrival but please buy some for the rest of your stay.

There is off-street parking for 2 vehicles on the lawn and 2 in the driveway.
