Suffice to say, there is no shortage of space for large groups to sleep comfortably, with up to 20 adults able to be accommodated in various configurations. Additional sleeping spaces can be made available via onsite camping, but this is strictly by enquiry only.
In addition to the ensuite in the Master, the other bedrooms are also serviced by two bathrooms and two separate toilets, (minimising 'waiting time'), and a laundry with new washing machine, dryer, clothes line, plus iron and ironing board.
A new stainless steel dishwasher makes short work of the washing up, and a newly installed gas oven & electric grill, new gas 5-burner stovetop (including special wok element) make cooking for a large group a breeze! The kitchen features all the cooking accessories you could ever need including pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, serving platters, sandwich press, blender and even a pod coffee machine, so bring your favourite ALDI coffee pods with you!

You can even store your drinks so they are accessible from the access door on the back, which opens up into the large wooden bar area, complete with barstools, a plethora of unbreakable glasses (white wine, red wine, champagne, schooner, pint, high ball, low ball and even martini) and a cosy lounge area.
The bar area includes a sound system with MP3 player input (including patch lead), and overlooks the massive sunken lounge room which provides seating for 11+ adults to watch the large TV, with digital free-to-air and a selection of 40 house movies available to watch. And as of May 2016, we now also boast Foxtel, with at least 15 channels including sport and movies.
Outside the house, you'll be able to spend the day in the secluded outdoor entertainment area relaxing around the large pool, cooking on the new BBQ in an undercover area, eating and drinking in the sun at the 20-seat outdoor dining table, laying out on the manicured grass and listening to your music as played through the MP3 compatible outdoor stereo system. There is even a separate bathroom w/ shower plus toilet accessible from this area, so no need to run through the house.
The house itself is located atop a hill overlooking sweeping views of bushland (featuring a diversity of birdlife and even the occasional kangaroo), flat pastures, wetlands, waterways, dams, a pond and the beautiful Wallis Lake.
Also located on the property is our newly installed full length CRICKET PITCH and field, great fun for the whole group to either actively participate or just watch the friendly holiday competition from a comfortable vantage point in the pool and entertaining area. The flat grassy property is also perfect for some golf driving practice or even a scenic jogging track for those looking for a cardio workout.
The lake is easily accessible along 100m of private lake frontage with lush grass and a pontoon with a table seating 8. The water can be enjoyed on one of two kayaks and two rowboats that are provided, with not only Wallis Lake to explore, but a waterway running across the property that feeds into a picturesque and secluded wetland only a few hundred meters from the house. You'll feel like Mick Dundee (without the threat of crocodiles) as you navigate your way around.
You can even bring your own boat and take it out on the lake, for fishing, watersports, dolphin spotting, or a trip over to the nearby Rec Club for a chicken schnitzel or into Forster/Tuncurry for a lunch of fish and chips. Small craft such as tinnies and runabouts can be dropped straight in at the waterfront, with larger vessels able to utilise nearby Coomba Park or Pacific Palms boat ramps to launch and then dock at the pontoon to pick up passengers directly from the property. There's no shortage of suitable flat land to park and turn a boat when it's not out on the water.
And if you're still looking for things to do, the area is famous for its pristine beaches with Blueys, Boomerang and Elizabeth beaches only approximately 10 minutes drive. And for the adventurous souls, the property is also bordered by the Wallingat National Park, offering 4WD tracks, mountain-biking and bushwalking through the forest.
Wallis Lakehouse is a dog-friendly property, and each time we visit, our Labradors absolutely LOVE the freedom of having lots of land and water to run and play! The house features a dedicated area adjoined to the house for dogs with a fenced grass area for them to run around in when they aren?t off exploring the property with you. If you wish to bring your dog/s with you, please make sure you request this in your enquiry as specific conditions apply, including strictly no access to the main part of the house.
Communication is easy with the property receiving full Telstra and Optus mobile coverage, with Vodaphone soon to follow. Undercover parking is provided for two cars in the double lock up garage, and additional spaces in the driveway for at least 6 more, with further parking space for larger vehicles also available on the property.

Wallis Lakehouse is constantly evolving and improving, and below you can catch up on our recent history of new features and updates, many of which were the result of ideas and suggestions from our guests;
Foxtel is here! We now boast at least 15 channels including sport and movies, though will aim to provide the full package of channels when possible.
We're very excited to announce that a full length cricket pitch is now laid and ready to play! That's right, guests have total use of their own council-grade concrete and AstroTurf cricket pitch with retractable stumps and small/mid sized field, with great views of the whole ground from the pool and entertainment area. Howzat for a great way to entertain the troops!
Due to the overwhelming popularity and volume of bookings received through 2013/14, we've now engaged a local professional cleaning company - Cath's Absolute Cleaning - to manage all our guest changeovers and general house cleaning.
Lighting upgrade is now complete, and the house is looking great with modern energy-saving lights and fittings, illuminating the house is areas that were previously a little dull.
An exhausting few days has been spent rendering and painting a number of internal walls that were formerly exposed brick, but now look markedly better in simple modern white. Additionally, we've completely replaced all wall paintings with some modern artwork to really bring some vibrant colour to the house.
The kitchen cabinetry has just received a major overhaul, and it's out with the peach coloured cupboards (all the rage in the 80's) and in with modern white fascias all round, which really complements the new stainless steel appliances.
