LOCATION

Located on the peaceful North Shore of Port Macquarie, you will need to catch the car ferry at Settlement Point which takes a short 5 minutes and the ferry runs 24 hours a day at a cost of $5 each way or a weekly ticket for $40 and travel 1.5 kilometres to reach your destination.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Great place to stay in port mac. The house itself if wonderful. So much space for a family (in our case 2 families - 4 adults and 5 kids). Kitchen and living look out the back to the beach which is only meters from the the back door. There are a few things to consider though.... The beach at the back is only really 20-30 meters from the back door but it is not really a beach for the kids to swim in. It is pretty rough and we only did sand play running in the waves. There are other kid friendly beaches close by though. The second is you need to catch a ferry to get across. The ferry runs 24/7, but you can be waiting for 10 minutes if you just miss the last run. It cost us $40 for a weekly pass. All in all a wonderful place to stay and we would love to come back one day.

We stayed in this beautiful house over the Christmas period with eight people fitting easily into this very large home. It was clean, well set out and everything was available for a perfect Christmas lunch. The house is located in a very quiet street across the river from Port Macquarie. Love the ferry ride. Great place to get away from the craziness of the city. Just a short stroll out the back and you are on a magnificent beach that runs as far as the eye can see. With so many outdoor areas, it is impossible not to find the perfect spot to read that book. Time just stands still. Can’t wait to go back again. Jo & Jerry Hackett Newcastle

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect size I stayed here with my family of 8. Upon checkin the house had not been cleaned- dirty sheets, dishes etc.As it was a Sunday the Real estate had to get onto cleaning company.They arrived 430pm,left 8pm.We had to sit outside until completed with a 10 week old baby and had travelled 8 hrs.New Years Eve morning woke to no hot water-2 gas bottles empty.Didn't get another gas bottle until after 5pm. These things should not have happened.The house itself was ideal-plenty of space,pool,beach and fishing which was what we were after for our family holiday.
