Scotts Head is a sleepy little isolated beach town about 480 km north of Sydney or 484 south of Brisbane. Its famous largely for its three coves, spectacular long beach, surf and the sense of isolation it enjoys. A direct road separates the town from the pacific Highway and has kept development at bay. The 100 or so locals are very happy that the town has avoided excessive development. Scotts head is surrounded by national parks and pristine beaches located 15 km - a short drive into Macksville. The town is 12 km from the the Pacific Highway to the west, just off Macksville, and 74km from Coffs Harbour to the north or 107 km to Port Macquarie to the South. Also in reach for day trips - Dorrigo, Waterfall Way, Bellingen...
