About the location of your Smiths Lake Accommodation in Myall Lakes region

In between the Wallis and Myall Lakes is the smaller but just as majestic Smiths Lake, offering warm calm waters separated from the ocean by an impressive sandbar formation. Great Lakes Council does open this entrance when the waters in the lake become too high or need replenishing.

The township of Smiths Lake is approximately 25km south of Forster. Some three quarters of the catchment is forested or waterway. The lake is a largely undisturbed estuary of high scenic value. The town of Smiths Lake is located on the northern shore of the estuary and the southern shores are included within the Myall Lakes.

The home is a short walk to the Smiths lake local shops. The town shops consist of a newsagent which stock groceries and videos for hire, a bakery, a liquor shop and a butcher. There is also a homely cafe and a beauty/hairdressing salon in the local shopping area.

A five minute drive from the house takes you to the PacificPalms shopping area near Blueys and Boomerang beach. This complex is equipped with more shops and restaurants to satisfy any holiday makers needs. In effect, most essentials can be obtained from the Smiths Lake local shops and the shops in Pacific Palms near Blueys and Boomerang beach. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tranquil & relaxing with beautiful view. Spectacular view. Very quiet, relaxing and comfortable place. Large eat-in kitchen, plenty of space for 2 families. Good communication from owner. Requested the linen package and our beds were made up when we arrived! Only can't park in garage due to table tennis table and no space for boat. Sliding screen doors need repair.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Relax & Unwind had a fantastic time at this lovely property, well equipped and plenty of room for everyone to relax and unwind for 3 nights. The pool and table tennis table were great. We walked to to frothy coffee every morning and spent one afternoon fishing in the lake. Forster is 20 mins away so we were able to pick up all the essentials and more when we needed. Smiths Lake is a quiet location and very peaceful and it was just what we needed to relax and unwind. The local shops are also just up the road although we didn't need to go the locals mentioned that they can purchase everything they need there. Amaroo is right on the lake and we could walk down to lake at the back of the property where my husband and son also tried a spot of fishing and you can sometimes hear the sounds of the water skiers and boats. The property had 2 bunk beds and 2 sofas type doublebeds which means it could easily sleep 6 downstairs and upstairs there are 3 queen beds. There is an ensuite, and main bathroom upstairs, with the laundry and spare toilet downstairs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We had a fantastic time! Excellent Property! We have stayed there for 3 nights with 5 people (friends - 1 couple, 2 female and 1 male) over Xmas and we truly had a great time there. The first two days were cloudy and a bit raining, but the place was very comfortable and very clean and we still sat down on the deck and enjoyed the view and chilled out. We also went for a walk (basically walking down from the property to the lake). It was enjoyable. We also played the table tennis which was so much fun. The pool table was not in a great condition so we did play but only once as we couldn't enjoy so much due to the condition of the pool table. For the last day, it was sunny so we went to the beaches (Boomerang & Elizabeth) these beaches were so beautiful and we had a great time there.  On the day we were leaving, we decided to go to the cafe around the corner for the breakfast and this cafe was really nice too :)  We spent a lot of time sitting down at the table on the deck and we enjoyed the breeze, looking at the sunset, etc. It was such a relaxing holiday we had. Thanks for the owner's timely response and a little surprise gift too. I will strongly recommend this place for the family or a group of friends :) It is clean and very comfortable!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We visite Amaroo in much need of some quiet time and tranquility. We got even more than we bargained for. This is a very quiet and peaceful spot. Sitting on the deck relaxing is quite mezmerizing. The house is even more spectacular than on the website if possible. The view is beautiful and uncrowded and the sound of birds is never far away. The experience is thoroughly recommended.
