Blue River Apartments are 4 recently renovated apartments each self contained with two bedrooms. Originally built as apartments for an extended family, so each family had their own space, Blue River Apartments offers both communal space for get togethers and private space for quiet retreats.
Blue River Apartments can accommodate 17 by the end of 2018, 19. Additionally, there is a port-a –cot and fold out bed. For groups under 9 up to 17, you simply book the number of apartments to suit your group size. For instance, a group of 9 would book two apartments.
Across the laneway, Blue River Shack sleeps 62xQueen, 2xSingles Booking both sides of the laneway accommodates 23.
The apartments come with linen, beds made up, free WIFI, bikes and a 2 man sea kayak for guests use.

The units are separated by a privacy wall and a gate on the wrap –a round deck which is all under cover so going between the units is effortless.
Skipper’s Watch: sleeps 5 + trundle bed1xQueen,3xSingles,1xtrundle, large alfresco area, outdoor hot and cold shower, river views, air conditioned, bathroom, two bedrooms
Quarterdeck: sleeps 41xQueen, 2xsingles, renovations due for completion late 2018 will increase this to 6, outdoor dining, air conditioned, two bedrooms, bathroom.
There are two access points either through main entrances of both units or via the laundry which joins the units at the rear of the apartment block.

The laneway separates Blue River Apartments and Blue River Shack by only a few metres. Located in a wedge of land between the river and the ocean, Blue River Apartments offers the experiences of a river and coastal holiday combined. The river is 30 steps away while the surf is a 60 meter stroll to the top of the sand dune. A free two man kayak is also available to explore the far reaches of the Wooli Wooli River while bikes allow guests to explore the town. There is free WIFI throughout Blue River Apartments.
Admiral’s Deck is a luxury 2 bedroom apartment, offering views across Wooli Wooli River to Yuraygir National Park while enjoying the sound of the ocean in the background. Featuring lofty, vaulted ceilings throughout, this apartment has a spacious airy ambience. A large, open plan living area, with fully renovated kitchen, which makes holiday entertaining a breeze. The kitchen includes an ice maker, French door refrigerator as well as the standard kitchen inclusions: Bosch dishwasher, oven, stove, convection microwave, coffee pod machine and milk frother, pull out pantry and drawers. There is plenty of bench space which flows seamlessly into an outdoor servery close to the barbeque. Bar stools make this a great spot for breakfast, evening drinks or vista gazing.
The open plan living area features an Eco Smart fireplace and sandstone hearth set into a stone feature wall. The fireplace is open to the living area as well as to the master bedroom. Barn doors, on the master bedroom side, allow privacy to be controlled.
There are two bedrooms. The master features a king bed with more views across the river. The second bedroom features two single beds. The unit comes with a full linen service.
The bathroom is light and airy with a travertine feature wall behind the free standing bath, ideal for long candle lit soaks. A rainwater shower and sandy colours makes this a great coastal bathroom.
The apartment has reverse cycle air conditioning for summer comfort and winter warmth. Remote controlled blinds on the stacker sliding doors assist with temperature control and privacy. All windows and doors have fly screens.
The large wrap-a-round deck gives guests the opportunity to enjoy many entertaining and relaxing experiences. It is not uncommon to have evening visits from green tree frogs or tawny frogmouth owls. During the day, bird watching from the deck is a favourite past time of many guests as they watch the river birds, particularly the pelicans, gliding up and down the river. The deck is complete with outdoor dining setting, cosy chairs for relaxing, and a Weber gas barbeque for cooking up the day’s catch.
The apartment has its own courtyard with outdoor shower, dog washing area and quiet sitting nook.
Captain’s Bridge is a two bedroom top floor apartment with ocean breezes and the constant hum of the surf. There are river views from the kitchen and deck, a great spot to watch the spectacular sunsets.
With lofty, vaulted ceilings, the apartment has an open airy atmosphere. An open plan kitchen living area spilling onto a north facing deck makes Captain’s Bridge a comfortable and charming holiday location.
The kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher and plenty of kitchen utensils. A reverse cycle air conditioning unit and ceiling fans keeps the unit at a comfortable temperature all year around.

Entry to Skipper’s Watch is via a fully enclosed courtyard with large waterproof sunshade offering maximum coverage over the courtyard. The courtyard features an outdoor kitchen: barbeque facing the river, large bench and sink with hot and cold running water. It’s a great space to clean up the catch of the day and cook dinner watching the pelicans float by on the river and the sun set in the west. To make the most of the views, a raised dining table and chairs gives guests an elevated position to enjoy the serene picture unfolding on the river in front.
A side entry to the courtyard leads directly into an outdoor shower with hot and cold water. Lots of towel rails and hanging hooks gets all the wet clothes and towels dried, and keeps the sand contained outside.
Comfy chairs and external power point allows more flexibility to relax and enjoy the ocean breeze that flows into the courtyard. Outdoor lighting options allows as much or as little light as you need to enjoy dining outdoors in the evening.
Inside Skipper’s Watch there are two bedrooms. The master has a queen sized bed. The second bedroom has three single beds and a trundle bed to accommodate a smaller child. Throughout Skipper’s Watch cooling blues and fresh white décor gives the apartment a fresh and coastal vibe. The newly renovated bathroom continues the coastal vibe with white and travertine tiles. The well appointed kitchen has lots of storage space and a dishwasher. The lounge room with 2 comfortable lounges looks out to the courtyard.

Quarterdeck is a ground floor apartment featuring cool coastal colours and shutters throughout. There are 2 bedrooms. The bathroom is fully renovated and features travertine floor tiles and coastal vanity. Renovation work currently happening will increase the size of the apartment and the number of sleeps from 4 to 6. Renovations are due to be completed in the 4th quarter of 2018.
