20 minutes inland from idyllic Brunswick Heads, 35 minutes from the beaches of Byron Bay. The Green Cabin is set in gorgeous long-established gardens, complete with a seasonal citrus orchard. It's has it's own private access, and is not visible from the main house.
The cabin is basically one open-plan room with a beautifully fitted out kitchen, complete with most everything you'd need, a walk-in-wardrobe, a comfy sofa that doubles as an extra sofa-bed if needed, a brand new queen-sized bed, as well as a cute kitchen table and chairs. It has a clean and bright semi-outdoor bathroom with a separate outdoor composting toilet.
The Green Cabin is about 200 metres away from the main house, but out of sight. We will check you in on arrival, and are very happy to chat and answer any questions about the area or the house, or to lend a hand if needed, but we are also very respectful of your privacy. The whole property itself has extensive botanical-gardens like grounds, and is surrounded by tinkling creeks, with many beautiful picnic spots. Visitors are welcome to explore.
Burringbar itself is a quiet, sleepy town, but it does have it's own butcher, general store, mechanic, laundromat, hairdresser and pharmacy It is only 20 minutes from the idylic Brunswick Heads. 35 minutes from the beautiful beaches of Byron Bay, and the amazing Blues Fest. 30 minutes from the lovely townships of Mullumbimby and Murwillumbah. And only 15 minutes from North Byron Parklands the home of Splendour in the Grass and Falls Festival.
THINGS TO NOTE:
There is no phone, no mobile reception, and no internet. The Green Cabin is a true retreat from the online world.
The region of Northern NSW often experiences quite a wet, sometimes stormy summer. Obviously, this is variable, but it is definitely worth checking the weather forecast before you arrive, so you can come prepared.
Be careful relying on a GPS to get here as we've had a few reports that they aren't very accurate in our area. We will email you directions.
In an emergency the guest would have access to the main-house phone.
There is no public transport here. Own car, or hire car, is essential.
