The Wren's Rest is offering self-contained accommodation in their unique eco-friendly style tucked away at the edge of a rainforest. It is very private with spectacular views of the Nightcap National Park and the secluded valley where Quandong and Minyon Falls are situated.
Located centrally in the heart of the Northern Rivers, it is 45minutes drive from world famous Nimbin, with 20 minute drives to Mullumbimby and Bangalow on the Northern and Southern sides and a 35 minute Easterly Drive to Byron Bay.
The Wren’s Rest also has a working Art Foundry where resident bronze artist Brett Harrison Allen creates his bronze sculptures.
Enjoy the peace, the quiet, the star filled nights and the native birds and wildlife.
Your accommodation is two minutes by car and 15 minutes easy ride by bike to Minyon Falls, and on clear days there are views to the ocean from the waterfall's edge, which has a wheelchair accessible platform. Minyon Falls Loop Walk can be accessed from Minyon Falls picnic area; this walk takes visitors through changing vegetation to the base of the falls past a large Brushbox stand and along the escarpment edge. Toilets and picnic/barbecue facilities are provided.
We can organise a guided bike tour with a professional, highly qualified and passionate guide through the many tracks throughout the forest or a guided day and/or night vision walk. Imagine exploring the Australian rainforest at night, searching for nocturnal wildlife without disturbing them with a torch? Using Night Vision Goggles to observe Australia’s nocturnal animals in their natural habitat, see a constellation of glow worms and after your walk enjoy a hot chocolate at the top of Minyon Falls gazing up at the starry night. Heaven!
