If you're into water skiing, wakeboarding or fishing you can't go past the Tweed River just one block away, 200 metres! - launch your boat right here in Tumbulgum. For paddle board, kayak and surf ski enthusiasts or those wanting to give it his sport a go, hire boards are available right here in town at the jetty.
Remember to bring your pet! Why should they stay at home? Enclosed verandah's secure puppy while you go out, the owners live nearby and can generally walk your pet if you are out for an extended period. Lots of lovely doggie beaches nearby, just 10 minutes drive.
Tumbulgum itself is an historic town with tavern, corner shop and post office, cafe's, pizza, galleries, antique shops, reception venue. All on the lovely Tweed River with a backdrop of cane fields, farms and Mount Warning.
Charming accommodation in an historic church
This historic two bedroom cottage was once a Presbyterian church, built in 1886, now furnished with lovely antiques sleeps 5+ people upstairs with queen bed, 2 singles and trundle. Extra queen bed and single bed available downstairs (weather permitting). This room has table, chairs, couch, TV with DVD, WC and sink.
The master bedroom with 100+ year old antiques, 6" timber floors, quality linen, is very charming and romantic.
The second bedroom has 2 single beds and French doors opening onto the verandah. There is a small attic room.
For babies a portacot with linen is available - small charge.
Bathroom with deep original caste iron bath and separate WC. Additional toilet downstairs.
Fully self contained kitchen with stove, fridge, microwave. Washing machine downstairs. Storage for your bikes, canoes etc also downstairs. Room for offstreet boat parking. Carport.

Take yourself back 100 years..
The owners live nearby, so if you bring your pet we are generally available to walk puppy in the morning so you can sleep in, or keep an eye on them if you wish to go out all day. The verandah is a safe place for puppy to stay while you go off and do your own thing. And of course there are several doggie friendly beaches so puppy can be included in beach activities. A particularly popular beach is a 3km beach walk from North Kingscliff to Fingal Head. Please bring your pets bedding, they will be happy near you on the verandah.

How to get Here
Tumbulgum is situated between Tweed Heads and Murwillumbah on the Tweed Valley Way. Heading from Tweed Heads, take the exit to Murwillumbah off the Pacific Highway (Tweed Valley Way). You will see a sign for Tumbulgum about 5 kms along the Tweed Valley Way, turn right into Tumbulgum along Riverside Drive. Once in Tumbulgum, turn left at Gray St, then right at Bawden St, St Marks is the third house on the left, number 14.
Just 15 min south from the Gold Coast airport.

If you are coming from the south, take the second Murwillumbah turnoff from the Pacific Hwy onto Tweed Valley Way at Melaluca Station, Tumbulgum is approximately 8kms south. If you take the first turnoff you will travel along the scenic Burringbar Range, (the old Pacific Hwy), and go through Murwillumbah and the surgar cane town of Condong. The next Township is Tumbulgum. Turning into Tumbulgum you will pass the Tavern on the right, turn right at the corner shop and then left into Bawden Street. The St Marks church/cottage is 100 metres on the right. Situated next to the school.
