Welcome to Hanno’s on the Hill Numulgi, a beautifully designed home, in an elevated position with valley views below.

10 Minutes to Lismore

20 Minutes to Bangalow

35 Minutes to Byron Bay

This rural property has everything you need to enjoy a relaxing family holiday, located close to lismore, and a relaxing drive to Byron Bay, Lennox Head and surrounds.

Stay warm in winter by the indoor wood fireplace, cool in summer with the large in-ground salt water pool, and cook to your delight with a self contained kitchen with some fresh treats.

We can't wait to welcome our guests to stay in this lovely home, which offers a quiet place to revive after experiencing all this beautiful region offers or treat that special someone to a romantic getaway.

Beautiful large bathroom, with bathtub and shower, and homey comforts provided.

Fantastic outdoor undercover entertaining area, which can be enclosed and gated for the little ones if needed.

The kitchen has all the comforts of a lovely home including pots, pans, utensils, the fridge will be stocked with milk, eggs and some local fresh fruits.

Please note this is an active farm and you may hear the tractor, cattle trucks, farm equipment and bike occasionally. There are cattle present on the property, hens forage on the property and there is a little dog and 2 cats who may occasionally decide to drop by to say hello.

Whilst events are not allowed, we understand it is difficult to find places to have a night away also so please contact us if you are wishing to do something but can't find the right option, we may be able to help.

The owners are present on the property but located in another house approximately 20 metres away They can be available or unavailable as you wish. You have this house completely to yourselves.

5 REASONS TO VISIT STAY HERE FOR SPLENDOUR IN THE GRASS Our village of Numulgi is centrally located to some beautiful locations iconic to this region.

Spend a Sunday morning taking a 15 minute drive to Rocky Creek Dam water supply for Lismore and surrounding districts and explore the wildlife. Visit the wonderful little village of Dunoon on your way back and grab an ice cream at the local store or drop in to the Dunoon Sports Club. Drive to the Channon Pub and enjoy a great valued Pub Lunch or drop in to the Colourful Channon Markets 2nd Sunday of every month, and spend the afternoon Visiting Nimbin, a further 10 minute drive from the Channon.

Visit the local Eltham pub who offers a courtesy bus service to/from our home on Friday Nights. Or enjoy a delicious breakfast at Eltham Pantry, then take a relaxing scenic drive to Lennox Head and walk along the 7 mile beach, finishing off at the Tea Tree Lake. Ballina is close by and a little further south is the lovely little coastal town of Evans Head.

Visit the other beautiful markets this region has to offer, or drive 15 minutes to the City of Lismore, and a 35 minute drive to the beaches of Byron bay and ‘The Farm’ @ Byron, perhaps take a slight detour and drop in to the iconic Crystal Castle and Shambhala Gardens.

Or if a hike is what you are after, Protestors Falls and Minyon Falls will surely impress. Protestors Falls walking track leads you through the World Heritage Listed Rainforest and arrive at the spectacular waterfalls in Nightcap National Park. Bexhill store is also close by providing quality fruit and vegetables where we purchase some beautiful local produce, they also offer delicious take away food and coffee to revive on the drive home.

Head into lismore for an early morning brekky at one of the many delicious cafe's and bakeries we'll be happy to recommend our secret favourite spots, then take an easy 20 minute drive to the town of Alstonville, and visit the Summerland House farm. A macadamia, avocado and tomato farm which is both educational and family friendly. Entertain the family with a tractor tour, enjoy the water spray park, museum, nursery and cafe which serve delicious high tea treats. Summerland House Farm is a House with No Steps business which is a not-for-profit organisation that provides employment opportunities for people with a disability, allowing them to develop skills and confidence. Perhaps take a drive further down the road and visit Amaze 'n' Place, a living lattice labyrinth/maze. Spend the rest of the day driving onwards to Ballina and having a late lunch at the Shaw's Bay hotel perhaps or visit the Ballina Maritime and Naval Museum and explore the maritime heritage of the Port of Ballina.

We think we live in the most beautiful part of NSW and want to invite you to try it for yourself.

• Check-in time is 2pm and check out is 10am – but let us know if you need earlier/later times and maybe we can make arrangements ?

• Before departure, please place all rubbish in the appropriate rubbish bins provided outside, and crockery and cutlery washed and packed away. The Property must be left in a clean and tidy condition.

• Extra cleaning charges may be incurred for the cleaning of dirty dishes, washing machine, dishwasher, removal of excessive rubbish etc

• We recommend all guests purchase travel insurance since Management are not responsible for any injuries, illness or accidents that may occur whilst staying at our property.

• Only the guests nominated and agreed in the Booking may stay in the Property over night

• We supply linen, pillows, blankets and towels – please leave towels in the bathroom upon departure - Beach towels are not provided. Fresh linen is provided after 7 days for extended stays.

ABOUT THE OWNERS - BEV AND PAUL

We would love to invite you to stay in the beautiful Northern Rivers, My husband Paul and I have lived in this area all our lives, and built this very house ourselves.

Paul is a local fencer/farmer and I am a local cleaner.

We believe in good old country hospitality and will always be happy to offer advice, or assistance in any way that we can to help make your stay as relaxing as possible. When you stay at our home you will always be staying in a clean, warm home. There will be fresh fruits, eggs and treats to greet you on arrival, and we are more than happy to assist you if you plan on surprising someone with a certain treat Champagne and strawberries on arrival perhaps?.

This was our home, the place where we raised our family and its walls hold many special memories for us.

We have recently built elsewhere nearby on the property and would like to welcome guests into this house, to enjoy all to yourselves, and for you to make your own special memories.

We live by a certain quote always stated by my Husbands late brother, “It’s nice to meet nice people”.

We will be completely absent for your stay and will leave you to enjoy the sounds of the farm, the wildlife and the wonderful views. But will never turn away a friendly afternoon chat either or a beer at “the shack” watching the setting sun

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely House We really enjoyed our stay at Hanno's on the Hill. Bev and her husband were very helpful. The kids loved the pool. I think the photos really don't do it justice... there is a spectacular view which I think is not obvious in the photos. They generously opened an extra room for us so we had plenty of room. The kitchen had everything we needed and some lovely extra treats and fresh eggs and milk etc. We thought the property was very reasonably priced. We were going to a party in Bangalow but we were on a budget so this place was perfect for us. Thanks, Bev! We would definitely recommend Hannos on the Hill.
