Diptipur is nestled in the Hills of Bangalow, in the hinterland of Byron Bay. It is located 10 minutes from the village of Bangalow, and about 25 minutes from Byron Bay, and about 30 minutes from the beautiful Nightcap National Park.
Diptipur has been transformed from its origin as a family home into an intimate retreat centre, with capacity to host up to 14 adults. It is ideally suited to writers individuals or groups, artists, women's groups, yoga, meditation and other spiritual gatherings. The space has a delightful ambience, and still very much holds the heart of its genesis, as a love-filled abode that carries its own tenor of peace.
You are welcome to stay in the house, a mud brick construction, with cathedral ceiling in the open living area. There are seven bedrooms that can accommodate a blend of singles and doubles. Each room is well appointed, with three of the rooms having a writing studio and ensuite bathroom. There is one fully self contained unit. There are another two bathrooms available for other guests. The house id supported by a large and well equipped Kitchen. There is ample areas for dining indoor and outdoor and numerous spaces for refuge and quiet reflection.
The house is situated on 2.4 hectares, largely regenerated rainforest. There is a north easterly aspect, making the most of cool summer breezes, with expansive views across the forest canopy. Your time at Diptipur is enhanced by a meditation room, a yoga/reading room and a 16 metre pool.
