Looking for a quiet beachside holiday? Alkira is a beautiful tranquil getaway from the frantic pace of city life. This fantastic two bedroom villa is located just 50 meters from one of Byrons best surf beaches. Enjoy gentle sea breezes with the sounds of the surf lulling you to sleep and birdsong in the treetops when you wake. Start your day by heading down to the beach to catch your first morning wave as the sun rises over the horizon, or take your dog for an early morning beach walk. or just grab a coffee and sit and watch the sunrise. You may even spot a whale or some dolphins frolicking in the surf.
Alkira is a light and airy spacious retreat for a romantic getaway any time of the year. Alternatively it is a great space for a small family or 2 couples looking for a holiday in this little piece of paradise. Well behaved pets are welcome with the pet-friendly leash- free section of the beach only moments from your doorstep
The ground floor has an open plan living area that overlooks a private courtyard. It features louvre windows, high ceilings and fans to catch the sea breezes making the villa cool in summer, while a cosy romantic fireplace provides wintertime warmth. An additional sunroom area extends the living space and provides a separate nook where you can spend an afternoon reading or snoozing in comfort and let the kids watch TV. The villa is equipped with Foxtel, Blu-Ray DVD, stereo with IPod dock facilities and complimentary Wi-Fi.
The sunroom opens through bi fold doors to the compact and smart courtyard. There is an electric BBQ and outdoor shower with hot and cold water. perfect after a refreshing swim at the beach. The courtyard captures the morning sun yet is well shaded in the afternoons when you want to relax in a cool tranquil space. The kitchen is very well equipped and has everything you need to cook up a storm including a coffee machine and a vegetable juicer for you to kick start the morning.
The villa is one of two and is situated at the front of the property with a private entrance and has no shared walls or ceilings. It can accommodate four people in two bedrooms upstairs both with queen sized beds. The master bedroom is generous in size with a large desk if you must work, and a sunny balcony where you can relax with a good book. or in the evening sit with a glass of wine under the stars while listening to the surf. The bathroom has a separate bath tub and shower. There is a second toilet in the fully equipped laundry downstairs.
For those who haven't stayed in Suffolk Park before, you are sure to appreciate retreating to this little slice of paradise during your stay in Byron Bay. It is a great base to explore the beautiful hinterland and all that Byron Bay and its surrounds have to offer. It is only 5km away from the vibrant yet occasionally hectic Byron CBD so you can enjoy Byrons enchanting shops, unique markets, restaurants, music venues, cafes and cinemas. There is also a fabulous bike track at the northern end of Alcorn St for an easy bike ride into town and an hourly local bus service into Byron Bay. The Suffolk Park village shops include a supermarket, chemist, pub with bistro and bottle shop, casual restaurants and a very popular gourmet bakery.
This is a quiet friendly village where you can relax and recharge. This property is not a party house. Please keep noise to a minimum and we would ask that you have consideration for your neighbours. There will be zero tolerance for parties, rowdy behaviour or noisy guests.

Small pets are welcome - please advise if you are bringing a pet.
There is a $60' pet cleaning fee' that is added to the total price. The additional cleaning is for sanitising all surfaces and remove any pet dander and odours that may cause allergic reactions to future guests.
Alkira was a lovely, well priced property which allowed us to take our dog with us. There was a small courtyard for her to be in whilst we were out exploring Byron however as Byron is a very dog friendly town she was with us for most of the time. The property was spacious and convenient enough to Byron Bay approx 7 min car ride. It was a well prepared, self contained duplex and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to avoid eating out all of the time. As we went in December it was a bit warm so air conditioning would be the only thing we would add as the upstairs area does get quite warm. However, the fans and windows did help most of the time. We will definitely stay there again.
Absolute House Rules
All properties have a Strict NO party Policy - functions or party crowds will be removed from the property.
Noise: To ensure the quiet enjoyment of neighbours, all noise should be kept within acceptable levels. Noise is defined as any sounds that can be heard from neighbouring properties that disturbs their peace & quiet, including arrivals & departures particularly at night.
This means no one in the neighbourhood should be woken or disturbed by your noise.
2 Strikes-You're Out: $165 per security call out -no rent refund -eviction.
This simply means, if a noise complaint is received during your tenancy, and security is called out to warn & advise of a complaint against you & any of your guests, a $165 charge will automatically be deducted from your security deposit. Should a second complaint second strike be received during the tenancy, causing a second security call-out, a further $165 will be charged against your security deposit, you will be evicted from the property and the tenancy terminated on the spot without refund of any rent monies paid.
Functions - Functions weddings etc. are not permitted as they can cause disruption to neighbours. Functions are not covered by landlords insurance.
All properties require a $1000 bond which is held on your arrival day by credit card pre-authorisation. If you are paying via Direct Debit we request you complete a Pre-Authorisation credit card form and send to us at the time of making the initial deposit. Bookings through Instant Book your credit card details will be Tokenised.
Peak Booking Check in and Check out Restrictions
Booking from 27th Dec to 3rd Jan have a 4pm check in time, all other arrival dates 2pm check in applies.
Unfortunately during peak times we cannot offer an early check-ins or late check outs Cleaner will be arriving promptly at 10am on your departure day.
Peak Set Date Restrictions
Christmas week bookings to be booked from the 20th and 27th December 7 night minimum
New Year week bookings to be booked from the 27th Dec - 3rd January 7 night minimum
To stay for Christmas and New Year’s you must book 14 days as per the tariffs table for each week.
1st week of January bookings to be booked anytime from the 3rd January 7 night minimum
These dates may be flexible by a day either side – the rates will be charged as per the tariffs table.
We reserve the right to cancel any bookings not made within these date periods over this peak time.
Not all properties are suitable for Schoolies properties – Schoolies bookings will be cancelled unless an exclusive Schoolies Tariff is specifically advertised.
Schoolies bookings are for 7 nights only per booking, check in and check out are only on Saturday.
September School Holidays are very popular all bookings are for minimum 7nights with check in and check outs on Saturday.
