Adjacent to Arakwal National Park, the setting can only be described as serene. To the West it overlooks the woodland to Tallow Creek and to the East, the uncrowded Tallow beach is a stone throw away. Ideal for couples or friends who want to unwind in nature. Walk or cycle on the beach. Swimming, surfing, nature bike track, sunrises and moonrises, close to marvellous Broken Head. But also a few minutes to local shops, restaurants and pub at Suffolk Park and five kms to the tourist hub of Byron Bay. If driving from Brisbane, the traffic of Byron Bay can be avoided by using the Hinterland Highway in direction of Bungalow then to Newribar and turning left to Suffolk Park.
In harmony with its surroundings, "Kookaburra" is ethical and cruelty free no feather, wool, leather has been used and makes a point of using exclusively eco-friendly cleaning products. All the detergents at the guest's disposal contain no nasties and are cruelty free not tested on animals. The soaps are organic. Complimentary tea and coffee supplied for short stays are fair trade.
