Situated at the Western most part of Suffolk Park, we're located beneath the picturesque escarpment that divides Byron Bay from its country side. With only one surrounding neighbour in one of Byron's quietest areas you're sure to have an indulgent and relaxing escape. Hence, The Escapement Escape
We have a fabulous big backyard that includes over 50 native and fruit bearing trees, 10 award winning vegetable gardens and both native and European honeybee hives. These sustainable practices provide us and our guests with bountiful fruits, vegetables and honey, all of which can be sampled free of charge in your studio.
The studio is located separate from the main household. It has been newly furnished and renovated with a 2016 minimalist design. We provide the latest in technology, off street parking, organic local tea and coffee, Brookfarm muesli, premium cotton bed linen and towels, purified water throughout and almost all furniture is custom made to suit.
Whether you're here to enjoy one of Byron's events, surf the brilliant beaches, participate in a health/yoga retreat, enjoy the local golf course or just explore the region, The Escarpment Escape is the perfect place to base your stay.
Lesharn and I have lived in the Byron and Ballina shire for over 20 years and will happily provide assistance for any type of holiday idea or destination.
It takes approximately 40 minutes to walk to Main Beach Byron Bay and the lighthouse, a 15 minute walk to Suffolk Beach and 30 minute walk to Broken Head. A local organic greengrocer 'Baz & Shaz' is only a 5 minute walk down the road too.
We offer two Giant mountain bikes for hire. Complete with locks, helmets and carry tray, they're perfect for getting around and exploring the Byron Shire.
They are free of charge, just let us know upon arrival if you would like to use them.
Getting around the Northern Rivers -
A bus stop is located within 2 minutes walking distance of our property and will take your directly to the center of Byron Bay and to surrounding villages of the Northern Rivers. An up to date bus timetable is supplied.
Getting to and from Festivals & Events -
A bus stop is located within 5 minutes walking distance of our property and will take you directly to major festivals, including: Blues Fest, Splendour in the Grass, The Writers Festival and Falls Music Festival. We will provide a bus schedule as they become available.
