Anna Bay Port Stephens
Anna Bay is the name of a sea-side village in the Port Stephens Local Government Area, located on the Tomaree Peninsula, NSW. It is a place where Australian bush land, beach culture and a small-town life comes together. Anna Bays slower pace and spectacular scenery appeals to many families and singles alike. The main township of Nelson Bay is 10km from Anna Bay.
The village of Anna Bay is just under an hours drive north of Newcastle and is the gateway of the Stockton Beach Sand Dunes and the beautiful Birubi Point surf beach. It has a shopping centre, including an IGA supermarket, butcher, bakery, ATM, fuel, bottled gas, newsagent, public telephone, Thai restaurant, tavern, several takeaway food stores, medical centre, chemist, real estate agents, liquor store and a second hand book shop (which also has great coffee!!!).
4WD enthusiasts can explore the beach dunes of Stockton Bight and visit Tin City and the Signa wreck (a beach licence is required to drive vehicles on the beach which can be obtained from BP Anna Bay). Some may enjoy a camel trek through the dunes.
Surfing, swimming, waterskiing, scuba diving, helicopter rides, go carts, horse-riding (guided or self ride adventures), pitch n putt, hire boats, boat cruises, dolphin and whale watching, fishing, bush walking, Gan Gan lookout, golf, parasailing, marina, wineries, restaurants, markets, museums and art galleries are just a few of Port Stephens many attractions.
