Located in picturesque Fingal Bay at Port Stephens, the home is just a few minutes level walk to the patrolled surf beach, the local sports club or tennis courts.
Port Stephens is approximately 2 hours drive north of Hornsby in Sydney. There is also a regular bus service from Sydney to Fingal Bay and regular flights to nearby Newcastle Airport Williamtown from Sydney, Melbourne, Gold Coast and Brisbane. Port Stephens is a popular holiday destination all year round. There is a lot to do if you want to keep busy or it's a perfect place to relax and wind down, if that's how you like your holidays.
Fingal Beach is one of two patrolled surf beaches in the area and is the closest one to Shoal Bay and Nelson Bay. The village of Fingal Bay nestles between the beach and the Tomaree National Park. The holiday home, Nor'Easter, is located in a quiet residential area towards the southern end of Fingal Bay, near the national park and a level 7 minute stroll to the southern, protected end of the beach. The patrolled area near the surf club provides family friendly surfing and north of that you will find some board riders most days.
The quiet, level streets of Fingal Bay are ideal for cycling. You can walk or ride along the path above the beach, through the national park and all the way to Shoal Bay or Nelson Bay.
The beach is good for swimming and fishing and you can launch a boat at the southern end with a four wheel drive. The park on the headland has magnificent views and an electric BBQ and covered tables for picnics.
The surf club has a cafe offering breakfast, lunch and dinner and the local post office provides a small convenience store, cafe and take-away food.
Nearby Shoal Bay, Nelson Bay and the surrounding area provide:
- Boating, cruises, dolphin watching, scuba diving, para-sailing, jetskiing on Port Stephens
- Golf courses
