Rated 4 out of 5 by from Recommended Good Value, clean, spacious. On Third floor. Photos indicate ocean glimpses but it is much better than that. Nice large balcony to enjoy evening breeze. Good location in heart of Nelson Bay shopping precinct. 5 minute walk to marina restaurant precinct. Passing coffee shops, restaurants and pub on the way. 2 minutes walk to pharmacy and HUGE new Woolworths supermarket. Undercover parking for 2 cars at very front of secured car park. Close to lift. Clean garbage bin area at carpark level adjacent to lift. Very convenient. Not so close to pool and BBQ area which are towards rear of this large complex. Good facilities inside. Large modern refrigerator. Washing machine, drier, air-con. Good cabinet space in en-suite. Lovely shower. 2nd bathroom HUGE with separate shower and bath. No fans in bedrooms which would have been appreciated. Cooktop exhaust fan needs a good clean and TV in lounge area is very small. But these are minor criticisms and have no hesitation in recommending this apartment. We stayed 8 nights and did not regret our choice. We like our TV and brought our own Hard Drive with movies but let down by tiny tv.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good - would stay again Apartment number 12 is a comfortable well positioned unit in the shopping precinct of Nelson Bay with partial water views. It is well appointed with comfortable beds and relatively modern kitchen and two bathrooms. The new carpet in lounge and master bedroom was a nice touch. Unfortunately, we had to wash all of the cushion covers from the lounge chairs because they were heavily embedded with sweaty body odour, which we found was very strong when we first entered the unit. Finally, one evening the entire complex experienced a false fire alarm warning where two appliances from Salamander Bay attended. We were confused as were other guests as a result of the lack of notices and information within the unit as to the correct evacuation procedures to follow. In conclusion, despite these negatives, we would stay again. We found the staff from O'Meara Property thoroughly professional and very supportive of our needs before and during the stay.
