The Cove is situated on the waterfront at North Arm Cove. North Arm Cove really is a hidden piece of paradise. It is a secluded and tranquil village on the northern shore of Port Stephens. It is hard to believe a place like this can exist so close to Sydney, but this area remains one of the few little known and minimally developed parts of NSW.
It is accessed via the M1/F3 freeway, 13km north of Karuah. It is around 2 hours drive from Sydney and 45 minutes from Newcastle. Despite its seclusion, the Cove is only a 5 minute drive, on a sealed road, from the Pacific Highway.
The nearest shop is at the famous Rock service station on the Pacific Highway, just 10 minutes drive from the house. This is a great place to stock up on essentials such as milk etc. For more extensive supplies, IGA at Karauh is 10 minutes away. In addition, Coles at Tea Gardens is 20km from the property.
North Arm Cove is one of the main gateways to the Myall Lakes National Park, a network of interconnected lakes and rivers that is one of the most popular boating destinations in the country. These lakes are superbly equipped for recreational boating and fishing.
North Arm Cove is a top spot for nature lovers. It abounds with hundreds of different species of birds and is home to a large population of wallabies who hop through the village most evenings and often stop by to check out whats on the Barbie
Dolphins are constantly frolicking in the waters of Port Stephens, and can often be seen from the deck at the Cove.
