Cooma is home to the Snowy Mountains scheme, the biggest civil engineering project ever undertaken in Australia when they were still recovering from the costs of the Second World War. Set along the Monaro Highway, Cooma is the largest town in the Snowy Mountains region with a population of 8, 000. As you drive towards Jindabyne from Thredbo, enjoy the snow caped peaks in the distance. There is a magnificent outlook over Lake Jindabyne, which receives the flow from the Snowy River as well as its tributes, the Thredbo River and Eucumbene River.
The town's family attractions include Crime Through Time Museum, Birdsnest Fashion Centre and a number of heritage sites and bike trails.
A serviced villa that is situated just on the outskirt of the township and 5 hour 50 minutes on the Monaro Highway. The villa is located on a motel property just as you head towards the Snowy Mountain Highway, and is located on the right about 1.2 km from the main township, with approximately 90 minute drive to the ski fields.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all cooking facilities, a microwave and refrigerator. In the main living area there is a split air conditioning system. Towels and linen are supplied.
