Lola's Loft is a self contained house with lovely views of the snow capped Mountains of Mt Kosciuszko. It is hidden away on 86 acres at an altitude of 1350m. Located 300m above the township center of Lake Jindabyne. It is a peaceful location to base your exploration of the snowy mountains from. There is room to stretch out and relax and go for walks or bike rides. Stay warm with a toasty fireplace and cool in summer with excellent air conditioning. The property can get occasional snow fall at times, which is a lovely experience for all ages.
As a guide, most years a snow view of the peaks starts from April through until November. The loft is recently renovated and warm and cosy. Fitted out with quality comfortable beds and furniture. The outdoor landscape is untouched and changes with the seasons from lush green to shades of yellows. There are fun trails for mountain biking all around the area. There are hens laying your fresh eggs. Both Perisher and Thredbo ski resorts are a 35 minute scenic drive on sealed roads. Lake Jindabyne is 15minutes down the hill and the National Park entry gates are 20 minutes. Snow chains are required in winter from the park entry gates, unless you have a 4wd.
Escaping the heat in summer for a snow melt swim in the lake can be a refreshing change to city life. There is room for your boat or canoe, or you can hire craft on the lake. The air is usually crisp and clean in any season, so please pack for all weather conditions. A snow storm could arrive any time and some years they hit mid summer.
The property was aptly named in 1901 and the landscape remains naturally rugged with a diverse variety of wild life dropping by for a drink from the dam. A walk along the top of the range shows sweeping views of the plains below across into Victoria's high country. All linen, toiletries and firewood is provided. The windmill farms of Bombala can be seen from the property and it is a cute town to look for platypus if you feel like a drive.
Lola;s loft is ideal for a romantic weekend with someone special any time of the year. Most nights are cold enough to light the fire. The loft is large enough for a small family or friends with the open loft room upstairs. Foxtel with the movies and entertainment channels is on just in case the weather keeps you indoors. A favourite activity is to star gaze out of the loft roof window from bed at night. Have a BBQ outside or sit on the deck with a wine and cheese. The pace is yours to set.
