Have your holiday in the upper floor of a typical besser block beach house a short walk from Surf Beach. The comfortable lounge has views to the sea and forms part of an open plan kitchen/dining area; the decor is 70s inspired. There is a new gas Smeg cooker with a wok burner for all you 'foodies' out there. There are wood floors throughout. The fully tiled bathroom includes an automatic washing machine.
Relax on the spacious rear balcony/deck with a six seater dining setting and a four burner BBQ with views over the valley of Surf Beach, or have a cool drink on the front balcony, looking towards the sea. Then take a stroll down to the beach which is about 400m from the door.
An IGA supermarket, chemist, bottle shop and several quality takeaways are easy walking distance just down the road.
Beautiful Wimbie Beach right next to Surf Beach is the 'doggy beach' and has a lovely walking trail leading from it down to Lilli Pilli.
Kitchen supplies include utensils, cutlery, crockery, saucepans, glad wrap, alfoil, scott towels, table cloth, tea towels, place mats, cutting boards, salad bowls, bread box, toaster, microwave, dish cloth, washing liquid, kettle, and basic condiments including salt and pepper. Tea, coffee, milk and biscuits are there for your arrival.
Bathroom supplies include towels, flannels, soap, toilet paper and clothes washing liquid. There is a fold out clothes horse with pegs inside and a full size clothes line down stairs.
There is a dyson cooling fan, and a gas heater.
Pets are welcome
If you wish to bring your pet please consider that there is no kennel or other facilities for pets on site, but if your pet is well house trained they are welcome to stay inside. There is no enclosed grassed area for pets, but the balcony that you have access to can be enclosed to contain pets and it covers three sides of the building.
You may need to bring a toilet tray for your pet. Alternatively, the grassed footpath at the front may be used for your pet's needs, and there is a grassy lane at the rear of the property where your dog can have a run around.
There is a beautiful dog friendly beach nearby where dogs can run and frolic off the leash, and it is also good swimming beach; though it is not a patrolled beach. However, the adjoining beach is patrolled but dogs are not permitted there.
There is a caretaker living down stairs available at all times for any queries.
Access at Palm Brae:
This property is suitable for people with mobility restrictions as there is only one step to negotiate. Entry to the property is via a street level walkway which leads to the first floor of the building. There is a single concrete step from the grassed footpath to the walkway. The first floor has a timber decking walkway opening to a large deck at the rear. There are no steps indoors, however, the entry door slides on a floor mounted track. There is a gated external staircase leading to the lower level of the building where a clothes line and bins are located.
Street parking only is available, and there is a slight downward grade. The street services local residents only. With no through traffic the street is relatively peaceful. You may park on the grassed footpath at the front of the property.
