Set up high on the mountain ridge, Captain's Lookout experiences different climates throughout any season of the year, also on any given day as the weather fronts roll in. Set in a clearing amongst temperate forest, you will share the peace and quiet with abundant native wildlife including echidna, brown wallabies, possums, wombats and a vast array of native birdlife.
At Captain's Lookout you will instantly feel relaxed as you take a seat on the landscaped viewing deck, perched on the edge of the mountain with large fire pit as its centrepiece. Enjoy the cinema of natural weather events where you can watch the fog majestically rolling in over the mountains, amazing lightning storms over the ocean or on a clear day you will see the horizon stretching for miles and at night you will feel like you can pluck a star from the sky. Captain's Lookout can comfortably accommodate 7, it's a holiday house suitable for families or couples wanting to rejuvenate from their hustle and bustle lifestyle. This spacious rustic house has 3 good size bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, one at either end of the house. The owners of the property do not allow, nor are they liable for any claims of injury or loss resulting from guests carrying out the following activities:
Motor bike riding, quad bike/atv use or 4 wheel driving for recreational use anywhere on the property.
Horse riding anywhere on the property.
Hunting, rifle or bow shooting anywhere on the property.
Swimming in creeks and waterholes anywhere on the property.
The owners allow guests to explore the 6ha paddock area and 37 ha bush area of the escarpment BUT guests are warned of the risks of unfenced creeks, waterholes and waterfalls, hazardous nature of the bush area of the escarpment including very steep, unstable terrain, unfenced and unmanaged heavy bush and lack of paths or signs. They strongly advise that children are under adult supervision at all times when outside of the house paddock.
This property is a holiday rental, it is not a principal place of residence and there are no shared rooms. Enjoy your time in comfort and privacy.
Directions to the property and Key/Access details will be emailed to the guest at 4pm two days prior to arrival.

This property is approved for accommodation only. No mattresses, tents, caravans or more cars than the property accommodates are allowed. The guest limits always apply during the booking. Any extra guests this includes day visitors above those that have been booked and paid for must be approved in writing prior to the stay.
Only the guests staying at the property are permitted to be present. If you wish to have visitors in addition to booked guests, you must advise us in writing prior to your stay and ensure you receive written permission. This is not possible at all properties. If you or any other guest receives a warning regarding excess noise or excess guests, you may be asked to leave the property IMMEDIATELY with no refund of monies. Noise audible outside the property is prohibited between 10pm and 8am.
No swimming in creeks or waterholes anywhere on the property.
Under no circumstances are the following activities permitted at any of our properties: motorbikes, dirt bikes, quad bikes/atv use or recreational use of 4-wheel driving, use of firearms or air rifles, hunting or bow shooting, fireworks.
Out of peak season stays of a week or more may qualify for a discount, please send us a message.
This property is pet friendly there is a surcharge to have your pet stay please declare at time of booking and refer to our terms and conditions regarding pets.
To ensure the comfort of our guests and the neighbours, we do not accept bookings for "Schoolies" breaks/under 21yrs groups and under no circumstances do we allow weddings or parties of any sort.
WiFi is not guaranteed. This is a service offered as a complimentary extra. As there is no charge for this service, we will attempt to fix issues as they arise but cannot be held accountable.
