Nestled below Tapitallee, the highest point on Berry Mountain, the hinterland property boasts majestic views over the Pacific Ocean from Gerroa in the north to Jervis Bay in the south. High Rock sits in absolute privacy 500 metres above sea level. The long drive down to the property ensures the retreat enjoys complete seclusion. The surrounding acres have been planted with magnificent European trees providing colour and seasonality to the property. Autumn is a spectacular time of year on Berry Mountain where the Ornamental pears, Liquid Ambers and Maples scattered around the property turn, creating a breath-taking kaleidoscope of colour. The property however is beautiful all year round and fulfils the owner's vision to build a world class luxury residence where summer could be spent on the magnificent beaches of the South Coast and winter spent enjoying the cosines of a true country retreat. The residence was custom built in 2013 and the attention to detail is evident throughout the home. Planking, imported American shingles and an abundance of distressed leather and hides create a truly unique lodge environment. The dramatic long room has Belgian cathedral windows, vaulted ceilings and an enormous fire place with ample stacked wood. The window seats are the perfect spot for that morning coffee or afternoon reading whilst watching the ever changing horizon. The sunrises are the most spectacular from this vantage point and the moon shimmers over the pacific at night. The kitchen is equipped with Miele appliances, a double oven, a coffee machine and a huge food preparation area. It has leather seating for afternoon rests in the sun. Hide stools provide the perfect spot to relax and enjoy cooking preparation. The laundry is equally huge and a perfect country boot room.
The library room is dark and moody with velvet, cowhides and a gas fireplace. It is decorated with oil paintings and has a number of books and Dvd's guests can enjoy. The library overlooks the internal courtyard with fire pit entertainment area and outdoor dining and seating areas. The property then has a wing of three bespoke bedrooms each with there own bathroom. The master bedroom has is decorated with reference to Belgian style and overlooks the Pacific Ocean. It has a walk in robe and beautiful bathroom complete with a claw foot bath.
The Barn House is the second of three separate residencies at High Rock. Under soaring ceilings, the Barn's main room is complete with kitchen, dining room, lounge room, sun room and fireplace with a stunning rustic and industrial aesthetic. The Barn has two bedrooms and an industrial bathroom with claw foot bath. The Barn allows guests to have complete privacy from the house, ultimately allowing two families to holiday together while providing separate amenities.
Outside, structure gardens defined by Grey stone walling and footpaths allow guests to enjoy the formal gardens and set off the black and white theme perfectly. High Rock also a breathtaking infinity edge swimming pool which frames the Pacific Ocean and provides guests a perfect spot for sunbathing in the summer months. To the right of the pool are level lawns for your champagne boules or Spinter game. The Spa is located near the Stables and is blissful for that champagne evening under the stars. The properties wildlife including wombats, kangaroos, echidnas, deer and ducks freely roam the property and provide guest with an exceptional experience with nature.
