The Barracks Barn is a new barn conversion, on the property of a 1890's David Berry cottage. A beautiful environment for a getaway, the barn is private, and separate from the cottage, and offers a high level of comfort.
The original cottage has a varied history, including being used as barracks during the first world war, hence the name "The Barracks". It is a beautiful example of the old Australian country home, large verandah's wrap around the living areas.
The Barracks Barn is a short walk to everything Berry village has to offer, and the famous Sourdough Bakery a few doors away. A ten minute scenic drive to Seven Mile Beach, and short drives to the many wineries of the region.
The Barracks Barn is well equipped to make your stay enjoyable, including an outdoor shower for after the beach trips in summer. Ducted air-conditioning , a wall of double glazed glass that slides back if you prefer Berry fresh air and lots of light. Sleeping in the loft is luxurious, plush pure wool carpet, high thread count cotton sheets, and a dressing room to hide away your wardrobe and storage for any travel bags.
Two outdoor areas provide a BBQ dining setting, and a seating area under the jacaranda tree, where you can have indoor and outdoor conversations when the doors are all open to the indoor living space. A delightful place to have a holiday or a short break.
