Set on almost three acres, this beautiful property offers peace and privacy and looks across lush dairy pastures with the mountain escarpment in the background. It is hard to believe it is less than a five minute walk to the main street of Berry, making it ideal for shopping or dining. There is parking for at least five cars and street lighting for that return walk late at night.
There is a fully equipped kitchen with gas top, electric oven, and large fridge/freezer with ice maker, dishwasher and microwave. All linen, towels, soaps, hair dryers and basic kitchen requirements such as tea/coffee, salt/pepper, sugar etc are provided. Other cooking facilities include an outside gas barbecue.
The laundry has a fully automatic washing machine, two dryers, ironing board and clothes airer. Added to this is a bit of nostalgia with an old fashion Hills Hoist just a few feet away.
The master bedroom is huge and has a magnificent view across the valley to the Great Divide. It has its own 30in television, fully integrated for Foxtel, free to air, Blu-ray/DVD player and internet. There is a walk in wardrobe, air conditioning, ceiling fan and ensuite to compliment a queen size bed.
Three other bedrooms are furnished with another queen size bed, two king size singles and one double. The queen bedroom has air-conditioning whilst the remaining two bedrooms haveceiling fans and are finished with plantation shutters. All linen and towels are provided.
The main living area includes a two speed fan forced combustion wood fire, a cathedral ceiling with fans and air conditioning. The dining area looks out over dairy farms and distant mountain scenery. Adjacent to this area is a television room equipped with a 60in TV fully integrated for Foxtel, Blu-ray/DVD player, Free to air and internet. There is also a gas space heater in this room which heats the entire house. The decor is complimented with a selection of Peter Whites paintings.
There are two bathrooms which include a shower and bath tub. The house is connected to the sewer and town water. This is complimented with tank and bore water for the garden as well as a small dam at the bottom of the property. The house is equipped with solar panels and solar hot water.
Laitiers is only a stones throw from Berry shops and restaurants, and within easy reach of Seven Mile Beach, Shoalhaven Heads, Jervis Bay, Kangaroo Valley, Fitzroy Falls, the Minnamurra Rainforest and local wineries.
Many guests love to stay and watch the cows grazing in the adjacent paddocks or make friends with the local wildlife. Wallabies and echidnas regularly visit Laitiers as well as the occasional tortoise. Birds abound including kookaburras, parrots and galahs. At twilight you may hear the hooting of an owl or the cries of wading birds returning to their nests
The more energetic spend their days swimming or surfing on Seven Mile Beach, canoeing in Kangaroo Valley, horse riding or bushwalking in one of the many National Parks that that are so much a part of the region.
