Description

Taking its name from the French for happiness, a stay at The Barn du Bonheur or Barn of Happiness is sure to bring a smile to your face. This simple barn style shed has been fully and luxuriously converted into a stylish abode, complete with gyprock walls, carpeting, bathrooms and superb French Farmhouse furnishing, styling and attention to detail.

The piece de resistance of this property, aside from the styling, has to be the magnificent outdoor entertaining area which boasts built in Kamado pizza oven, fireplace, bbq and a private garden setting under a wisteria pergola.The Kamado is a charcoal ceramic oven based on an ancient Japanese cooking style.The outdoor entertaining arealooks out over a landscaped garden with tranquil water feature making it a very pleasant place to relax as the sun sets casting dancing shadows of dappled light across the stonework. The fireplace makes it a great place to hang out even in the cooler months.

The garden slopes down to an unfenced creek and ornamental pond where you will find relaxing picnic spots in summer. From the entrance to the property to the top of the driveway, magnificent gum trees are spot lit guiding you in. Although the property is connected to town water there are large water tanks where rain water is harvested, twice filtered then UV sterilised to produce soft pure water. With a northerly aspect, and nestled just below Berry Mountain, the property enjoys tranquil rural views spanning over undulating farmlands to the east and across to the mountains and escarpment of the north west.

Inside and on the ground floor of smooth polished concrete, you will find an exceptionally well-equipped kitchen including dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and coffee machine. There is an additional fridge, a clothes dryer, plenty of firewood, extra chairs and outdoor cushions etc., undercover in a tidy cabinet just outside the front door. The entry area is tastefully screened, separating The Barn from the main residence. There is an open plan dining area and a cosy living room with TV, DVD and WiFi. Also on this level is the tastefully decorated and tranquil master bedroom and main bathroom with full size bath. Complimentary plush white bath robes ensure your comfort.

Upstairs are two more bedrooms, both beautifully appointed with comfortable queen beds, and a luxury shared bathroom in between. Wall-mounted air conditioning units in both the upstairs bedrooms ensure a comfortable stay in summer. There are ceiling fans in all of the bedrooms and additional pedestal fans are available.

The Barn is a holiday rental, it is not a principal place of residence and there are no shared rooms. Enjoy your time in comfort and privacy. The owners visit the separate house on the property regularly but if in residence during your stay, will offer you the utmost privacy and we request that you do the same for them in return

This property is approved for accommodation only. No mattresses, tents, caravans or more cars than the property accommodates are allowed. The guest limits apply at all times during the booking. Any extra guests this includes day visitors above those that have been booked and paid for must be approved in writing prior to the stay

Only the guests staying at the property are permitted to be present. If you wish to have visitors in addition to booked guests, you must advise us in writing prior to your stay and ensure you receive written permission. This is not possible at all properties. If you or any other guest receives a warning regarding excess noise or excess guests, you may be asked to leave the property IMMEDIATELY with no refund of monies. Noise audible outside the property is prohibited between 10pm and 8am

Under no circumstances are the following activities permitted at any of our properties: motorbikes, dirt bikes, quad bikes, use of firearms or air rifles, fireworks
