Welcome to Blue Salt, a beautiful Gerroa hideaway, gracing an enviable hillside position, encompassing spectacular panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, the Seven Mile Beach and the Crooked River. This 180 degree view can be observed from the elevated decks and living areas of Blue Salt and from the bedrooms. Adjacent to the house is the view over the National Park, the mountains and green rolling hills which stretch out to two magnificent headlands, Beecroft Peninsula and Black Head. Beecroft Peninsula cliffs can be seen clearly from the house and the iconic Mount Coolangatta forms a significant part of the view. At night Point Perpendicular Lighthouse can be seen flashing it's light on the horizon The house is located very near to the Seven Mile Beach and it is only a short walk to the beach.
Blue Salt is a private, spacious and luxurious home. It is contemporary and elegant in style, having versatile, multi-level living areas. Most rooms enjoy postcard views through a 16 metre glass frontage, with sliding doors opening onto two large entertaining decks. A major feature of the house is the massive upstairs open plan living area and deck directly overlooking the Seven Mile Beach and large separate living/lounge room with garden views and a double sofa bed expanding the number of people that can stay at the property to 10. There are four bedrooms two of which are master bedrooms with queen sized beds, ensuite, built - in wardrobes, heaters, fans, balconies and water views. The third bedroom is next door to the second living room and bathroom, has a queen sized bed, a fan, a heater and a bush setting and the fourth bedroom has two single beds, a fan and water views. The house has a north-south aspect with the major living area and three bedrooms with the water views facing south. This aspect and ocean breezes make the house cool in summer. The wood burner creates warmth and atmosphere in winter. The house is equipped for all seasons.
The house is set amongst trees and greenery. Rainforest Hill, a natural sub- tropical rainforest, can been seen directly through the kitchen window. Sub-tropical vegetation appears near the house attracting a varied and colourful bird life.
From the upper deck colourful sunsets can be seen to the west behind Mount Coolangatta. You can also watch an electric storm that hits the coast with all it's drama, sight migrating whales and dolphins or observe a lone surfer tackling the waves or a fisherman throwing a net from his boat in the early morning. Or you can simply watch the ocean and enjoy the sight and sound of the waves thrashing against the beach.
You can take a leisurely swim or windsurf at Seven Mile Beach or paddle your canoe along scenic Crooked River. You can take a long walk or jog as far as you wish along Seven Mile Beach-surrounded only by National Park and beach. Go bushwalking in the National Park or coast walking to Gerringong or Kiama. Gerringong Golf Club and Boat Ramp for fishing and surfing are nearby. Enjoy cycling on roads or tracks or go sailing. Collect shells at the atmospheric Black Head.
Enjoy the eateries and wineries of the South Coast whilst visiting the nearby historic townships of Berry, Kangaroo Valley, Kiama, Nowra and numerous other Shoalhaven townships If you wish to eat very locally you can walk to the local restaurants and the General Store is also only a short walk away. Sir Kingsford Smith Lookout and Tribute is almost next door and details an important event in the history of Gerroa.

A central location in Gerroa. The Gerroa Boat Fisherman's Club and the Blue Swimmer Restaurant and Café and the General Store are all within short walking distance. You can eat out at night and walk home.
Two Living Areas
Massive upstairs open plan living space with lounge area, kitchen, dining area, and outdoor dining area with BBQ on the balcony. All with panoramic views.
In the upstairs living area there is a 60 inch Flat TV and DVD Player, Hi Fi Stereo, a powerful reverse cycle air conditioning unit, ceiling fans and a large Wood Burner. Books, magazines and board games.
The Hi Fi Stereo system takes CDs, most USBs and connects to all smart phones, ipods, ipads etc that can connect to a 3.5 mm jack lead.
White gourmet kitchen with Caesarstone bench tops, European gas cooktop. Kitchen well equipped with cooking appliances including a Nespresso Coffee Machine byo coffee pods.. Lots of cooking magazines and cook books. A gourmet cooks delight Well stocked with china, glasses, cutlery and all kitchen items you will require for a great holiday.
A second large living room can double as an additional bedroom depending on whether the quality leather sofa bed is a lounge or a bed. The living room has a 60 inch Flat TV and DVD Player with powerful reverse cycle air conditioning. Great as a separate children's room.
The brand new quality leather double sofa bed in the second living room, allows up to 2 additional people to stay at an additional rate of $60 per person per night covering the extra assembly/disassembly costs, extra bedding costs, luxury linen and extra laundering and cleaning costs and additional use of house utilities. THE SOFA BED set up as a bed IS AN ADDITIONAL FEATURE AND MUST BE PRE REQUESTED FOR EXTRA GUESTS to be made up as a bed AND PRE PAID FOR and the price added to the basic tariff on the contract. Do not expect to be able to able to use the sofa bed on arrival without paying in advance. It is locked with a pad lock-the cleaners are the only ones with the access code.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Four bedrooms sleeping 8 people. If sofa bed in the living room is used as a bed there are 5 bedrooms sleeping 10 guests. Set up of the sofa bed carries an extra charge. See below.

The third bedroom has a bush setting, a queen sized bed, fan, heater and bathroom and living room next door and the fourth bedroom has two single beds, fan, a bookcase with books and water views.
Quality cotton bed linen and towels and face washers are provided. Floor mats and hand towels provided in bathrooms.
Fans and heaters are in bedrooms.
IF PRE REQUESTED AND PAID FOR a double sofa bed used as a bed in the second living area will allow for an additional 2 people to stay. Use of the sofa bed as a bed is at an additional rate of $60 per person per night covering the extra assembly/disassembly costs, extra bedding costs and extra laundering and cleaning costs and additional utilities costs. The sofa bed is pad locked if not prepaid and booked for.
If the sofa bed is requested as a bed the guests MAY NOT convert it back to a lounge during non sleeping times. Nor may they convert the lounge to a bed. Only the cleaner has permission to convert the sofa bed.
The sofa bed as a bed especially must be treated gently and with due care.
Internal laundry, fully equipped with washing machine, dryer, ironing board and iron.
Off street parking for four cars.
The garage can house two cars - one large car and one small car. Internal access from garage to house.
The private driveway has space for two more cars.
Normally the house can be accessed between 2pm on check-in day and 10 am on check-out day. These hours can be extended on the check-in and/or check-out day subject to approval by the owner and a small extra fee-see below.
If you require an extension of time if you must request it in advance of arrival. The following applies:
The owner will approve extensions UP TO 4 HOURS in total, on either check-in or check-out days or both, FREE if there are no back to back bookings on check-in or check-out days or no other use required of the house.
SCHOOL LEAVERS post HSC or IB
Subject to telephone chat responsible school leavers who wish just to relax in a peaceful and harmonious environment after their HSC or IB are permitted to come to Blue Salt. STRICTLY HOWEVER the rules are: Hi level care and respect for the property, no parties, no smoking or over use of alcohol etc and no excessive noise or revelry that would affect neighbours in any way. Schoolies events are not permitted. There are many forms of entertainment in the area that will take your fancy.
