Description

Great for the extended family with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and 2 living areas. Access the upper deck through the main bedroom and enjoy the views to the beautiful glistening Jervis Bay. Relax in the bath after spending the day on the beach, or sit back and enjoy watching the kids play in the beautiful landscaped garden.

This property is professionally managed as part of the largest portfolio of 100+ holiday houses in Jervis Bay with its office in Hyams Beach and 7 x 24 customer service.

"Pay for 2, stay for 3" special -this property offers the "pay for 2, stay for 3" special on weekends, "3 for 4" on long weekends, or "5 for 4" over Easter. The special can be applied to any day of arrival - if the applicable weekend rate is paid. The special does not apply in December and January.

Location -Sea Star is situated at the southern end of Hyams Beach in a quiet bush setting. Surrounded by the sounds of the bush and the beach, you are only wandering distance from the cafe, the beach and bushwalks.

Configuration - Entry is on the middle/mezzanine level where there is a single bedroom. Downstairs are living areas that lead out to the back yard via double doors. There are two lounge/sitting areas, one more casual than the other. The kitchen is well equipped with all the mod cons. Additionally there is a large laundry with toilet and shower. Upstairs on varying levels are the remaining bedrooms, 1 x queen with en-suite and builtins, 1 x queen with builtins and bay windows and at the very top is the kids room with 3 x singles and a cot. There is a big bathroom with separate bath and shower. Havingskylights throughout the whole place has an open free flow feel.

Outdoors - There is a BBQ area at the back of the lawn that is on an elevated self standing garden deck. A beautiful back yard that backs on to the bush. The house is situated on a corner block.

Heating and Cooling- Sea Star has anelectric heater underthe stairs anda combustion fireplace in the living room. The kitchen,dining and downstairs living area have a splitsystem air conditioner, and some of the bedrooms have ceiling fans.

Linen - Sea Star does supply linen for guests. Please however remember to bring your beach towels.

Parking - There is a double garage for guest use which is accessible from inside the house.

Pets - Sorry, Sea Star is not a pet friendly property.

Minimum stay -There is a minimum 2 night stay for all bookings, which changes to 3 nights on long weekends, 4 nights at Easter and 7 night blocks during peak season. Peak season runs from mid-December to the end of the Australia Day long weekend in January

Peak changeover day -Please note that during peak season, our properties have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable.

Internet / Wi-Fi access- please be aware that there is no ADSL in Hyams Beach and poor ADSL internet in most other areas of Jervis Bay. As a result, until the NBN is rolled out, none of our houses offers internet access. If a house has internet, you may use it but with no guarantee by us or the owner re its reliability. If you bring an internet dongle, the best network is generally Telstra. Otherwise guests go to various cafes in Huskisson, the Sanctuary Point Public Library or the St Georges Basin Country Club - all of which provide free Wi-Fi.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect all around if not for the "invisible dust" This large, well equipped, comfortable and conveniently located home could easily be one of our family favourites except for what we ended up calling "invisible dust". We cannot fault the cleaning as it was visibly really clean - not even dust on windowsills. However, areas with heavy curtains including bedrooms "felt" and "smelt" dusty. Mind you, we have a family with lots of allergies but the carpets looked clean although obviously not new. We narrowed it down to the heavy curtains. Other than that, it would have been a perfect location. Highlights include: double car garage, plenty of provisions including hand washes, laundry and dishwashing detergent/tablets, paper towel, toilet paper, boardgames, dvds, books and even pantry items which of course, are not guaranteed as per accommodation description. It was handy to have cling wrap, foil and even a roll of baking paper in the drawer. There were lots of crockery, cutlery and glassware which I loved as it meant we didn't have to use the dishwasher after every single meal. There was even a sandwich press, stovetop coffee pot, and a handmixer! We loved the backyard. Although one thing to note is that it is not fenced. This was handy because we were able to use it to take a short cut to Hyams Beach. Like most of Hyams, internet is virtually non existent here so read the description well because it's pretty accurate. A vacuum cleaner would have been handy but there are plenty of other cleaning implements. There's even a proper outdoor clothesline as well as a folding portable clothesrack. Lastly, the linen and towels were of relatively better quality than other places we've stayed at in Hyams. They're not brand new but they felt nice and also very clean and fresh.
