Stonefish is located in the heart of Hyams Beach, just at the bottom of Booderee Avenue when you come into the village. It has very easy walking access to the cafe and all beaches. The house is on Cyrus Street, but as the property in front number 66 has the same owners, Stonefish at 64 Cyrus Street has direct and unrestricted access to the beach - via 66 Cyrus and down a set of stairs, right onto the white sand...
Stonefish is a family-friendly holiday beach house with an emphasis on providing premium accommodation for those wishing to enjoy a luxury holiday, with all the modern conveniences.
Immaculate and architecturally designed, Stonefish Ground Floor features three bedrooms, three bathrooms, manicured gardens, direct access to the beach and a unique and private 'Sea Deck.' Stonefish First Floor is a separate self-contained two bedroom unit occupied by the owners.
The house has private access from Cyrus Street into an entry foyer. The two queen bedrooms are on this level, each with ensuite bathroom shower only, and each with a walk in wardrobe. Access to the lock up garage is also from the entry foyer. A few steps then lead down to the lower level which has a third bedroom with 2x king single beds, a third shared bathroom bath, shower, toilet and twin vanities, an internal laundry, and an open-plan kitchen w/ dishwasher and compact oven, dining and lounge area.
The living area opens up to a large outdoor entertaining area with a table and chairs, lounges, and gas BBQ. Bi-fold windows also create a servery that opens from the kitchen to the entertaining deck. Finally, Stonefish has a lovely, fully enclosed garden including a cabana with motorised roof - perfect for relaxing.
Note that the Laundry and Garage is shared with the owners.
Linen and bath towels are provided at Stonefish. Please bring your own beach towels and beach gear.
Heating and Cooling:
Stonefish has electric air-conditioning or heating in each of the two queen bedrooms individual units with their own climate control, and also electric heating and cooling in the open plan kitchen, living and dining a third unit. All of the bathrooms also have under-floor heating and heat lights overhead.
Stonefish has a fantastic outdoor entertaining deck that is covered from the rain, a lovely garden with separate cabana for catching the afternoon sun, and direct access to the beach via 66 Cyrus. You also have the use of a unique 'Sea Deck' - a secluded, elevated platform just above the coastal foreshore complete with second BBQ, drinks table, bench seats and comfy cushions. The garden is for your exclusive use and is not shared with the upstairs unit.
Sorry, no pets are allowed at Stonefish.
There is a minimum 2-night stay for all bookings, which changes to 7-night blocks during the peak period. The peak period runs mid-December to the Australia Day long weekend in January.
Stonefish does not accept large group bookings for schoolies, weddings, or other large parties.
We ask that you respect our home, our neighbours and the local environment during your stay.
Your hosts, Graham and Sharon, live upstairs in the 2 bedroom unit and will often be home to welcome you when you arrive. They are a quick door-knock away and can assist with any questions or queries you have during your stay.
Graham and Sharon can also help you out with local hints and tips, the best fishing spots to catch your own dinner, or where to get the best latte to have with your Sunday paper
NOTE TO GUESTS:
From February 2018 our immediate neighbour will commence construction of a new dwelling. Stonefish is fully insulated, however during this time guests may experience some building noise on weekdays during normal working hours. We expect that disruption to the quiet enjoyment of Stonefish will be minimal, however we ask that you take this into consideration when making your bookings for 2018.
