Wombat Lodge is a newly renovated 3 bedroom property with fantastic views overlooking Morton National Park.

The huge front deck is the perfect place to take in the endless views during the day and you can gaze at the countless stars at night. The deck is great for entertaining and is equipped with an outdoor entertaining setting and gas BBQ. The property also has a separate outdoor entertaining area with an open fire and wood BBQ.

The house has just been recently renovated. The brand new kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need and guests will love curling up on the comfy leather lounges in front of the wood fireplace with a glass of red wine or watch one of the many DVDs on the large screen TV.

At dawn and dusk you have a good chance of spotting some of the local native wildlife including wombats, kangaroos, wallabies and many species of birds.

Wombat Lodge adjoins the beautiful Morton National park so there are some great locations for bushwalking and mountain bike riding nearby. It is also just a short drive to Tallowa Dam which is a great destination for canoeing, swimming and fishing.

The property has a large orchard and guests are welcome to pick their own fruit. There is always something ripe with stone fruit in summer and citrus during winter.

Wombat Lodge is great for couples or groups of up to six people.

Pets are allowed at this property on request.

Please note that this property is located along a dirt road. Care should be taken when driving and lowered vehicles are not recommended.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Magical Location! We had an incredibly relaxing stay in this magical hide a way. Would have been an absolutely perfect but quite a few lights didnt work and made it hard to cook in the kitchen at night. Also would have been nice to arrive with enough fire wood for our stay or twll guest to bring their own and would be nice to have some nice soap like they sell down at the beautiful shops in Kangaroo Valley. There was bo useable soap when we arrived. Also the cultlery and kitchen utensil drawers need the crumbs cleaned out. The deck is absoluetly amazing but most if the cushions were stained and or a bit mouldy. These additional touches would have us coming back many more times in the future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantastic location! The property is just gorgeous! Set in a very secluded setting with a forest backdrop, and views from the deck to die for. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to cook. The lounge room has a fireplace and very comfy leather lounges. Plenty of space to entertain if you're in a group. The only issue we had was no microwave (can live without but would've been handy and I think it would be worthwhile investing in one) and there were no tea towels or oven mits which was pretty frustrating when cooking a lovely roast dinner :/ Apart from that is was great and we will be returning most definitely!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great property in a fabulous location. My family and I had a wonderful stay in wombat lodge and would definitely stay there again. My only issues were the lack of mirrors and lamps in all three bedrooms. I was also slightly disappointed with the old donna in the smallest room, very old and slightly unhygienic. A microwave would also have been good. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side during the three days we were there and we would have loved to have still sat outside. Maybe a big umbrella would be of benefit so families could still enjoy being outdoors even when it's raining.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it! We had a fantastic time at Wombat Lodge, Kangaroo Valley. The property was gorgeous - we particularly loved the beautiful kitchen and cosy living room, but the star was definitely the enormous verandah with stunning views of the valley. A perfect place to watch the sun rise and set over the beautiful surrounds, and our only neighbours were a few friendly wombats and kangaroos. The lodge felt isolated which is exactly what we wanted, but was only a short drive from town which was handy. We will definitely be back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful weekend with the wombats Just back from our stay at Wombat Lodge - we had to drag ourselves back! We had a brilliant time. It's the perfect spot to relax, totally peaceful and secluded on the side of a big hill with beautiful views across the treetops of Morton National Park. We watched some beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and at night you can see every star in the sky. The Lodge is down an unsealed road and in the middle of absolutely nowhere. You could go for days without seeing anyone and you could easily lose track of what day it is! (Not for you if you don't like the dark or being alone!) It sits in 40 acres of land with a lake and woodland, which is full of wombats and wallabies bouncing around. We went on a wildlife safari around the property, had a walk and picnic along the fire trail from the house, drank lots of red wine by the roaring log fire, and had coffees on the huge deck looking at the view, watching the wombats and listening to the wildlife. We also picked oranges from the orchard, had freshly squeezed juice and baked an orange sponge cake. (The kitchen is beautifully equipped and we enjoyed cooking some great meals too). The rest of the time we really enjoyed doing nothing! Phones off, no emails (although there is an OK Telstra mobile phone signal if you can't bear to be totally disconnected). Tallowa Dam is just down the road and worth a visit, and you can always wander around Kangaroo Valley village (both are 20 minutes drive in opposite directions). The Lodge is very well presented, modern, and very comfortable. It feels like you're in someone's home rather than in a holiday house. We are already looking forward to going back - next time we might take some friends too!
