Rated 5 out of 5 by from Enchanting!! It is not easy to describe the bucolic splendour, tranquility, beauty and otherness of Little Pig Creek. It needs to be experienced firsthand to understand how incredibly special this hidden little corner of the universe truly is. The sleepy, charming little town of Kangaroo Valley sits between two winding, spectacularly vertiginous roads in and out of the rift, each a contender for the most breath-taking drives in Australia. The house itself sits just a single kilometre outside the town, hidden from the road by established trees and the creek which gives the place its name. It is a place of stone and wood, unique and quiet in its stature. Vines cover much of the facade, their amber and gold leaves glinting in the autumn sun. The gardens are a verdant, beautifully kept tumble of citrus trees, pergolas, herb gardens and wooden decks that allow guests to bask in the late afternoon light. A rose bush meanders up one side of the house, a singular pink flower opening towards the sun. Inside Little Pig Creek the rooms flow seeminglessly into one, a Hunter wood burning fireplace the focal point of the east corner, the wicker basket stocked with freshly cut wood for our arrival. A day bed fringes the stone wall; perhaps the most exquisitely comfortable piece of furniture I have ever had the pleasure to experience. The kitchen, replete with a fantastic oven and satisfyingly energetic hob, opens out into a sun room. Two bedrooms are equally spacious and warm and the bathroom, a place of mosaic turquoise and Butler sinks, boasts a free-standing bath and shower, which comes far closer to a wet-room than the modest moniker would suggest. The back of the property opens out across rolling pastures, behind which hangs the Jurassic-like green of the forest that enshrouds the valley. Kangaroos bounce through the moving field as the wind bends the grass to a sea of gold. There is a sense here of something unsaid but felt in every stone and timber, every shard of sunlight and glimmer of star. Little Pig Creek isnt simply a place you visit. It is a place that stays with you forever. It is a place of wonder; a place that weaves itself into you; a place that enchants and spellbinds. It is truly a wonder and I am so thankful that I found it and was able to spend such precious time there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just the way life on earth should be! The beauty of Little Pig Creek surpassed all expectations. After driving from Sydney through the pouring rain, arriving at the house was like arriving in an enchanted world. The house and gardens have been created with so much heartfelt love and attention. The trees and grapevine letting go of their red and orange Autumn leaves, citrus trees full of mandarins and oranges, birds diving for a splash in the bird baths, kangaroos in the surrounding hills. The house was the most beautifully built creation of timber and sandstone. My dream house. Filled with characterful knick knacks from around the world. Beautifully restored furniture, everything had a story and soul. Gorgeous kitchen with everything you could possibly need including complimentary G&T to unwind after your travels, big fridge, great stove. Gorgeous warm fireplace kept us toasty warm. Claw foot bath with jar of bubble bath. The most comfortable beds and pillows. Gorgeous day bed to lounge by the fire. This place is heaven. My 5 year old was just as impressed: This house is more beautiful than beautiful and more lovely than lovely. He was kept happy hunting for wombat holes, we found 3! And picking mandarins and eating them straight from the tree. Close to Kangaroo Valley shops for great coffee, shops and restaurants. So much love and care and attention to detail has been poured into this place that its impossible to feel anything but nurtured and restored. Staying here was really just the way life on earth should be. Thank you for sharing this magical home with us! We loved every minute of our stay.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pure bliss! What a gorgeous property. From the moment I stepped through the front door I felt instantly relaxed. The house, furnishings, decorations, garden, bathroom, beds, and kitchen were all perfect. So much love has been poured into this house and it has such a beautiful bohemian, romantic vibe. Such gorgeous decorations sourced from around the world and beautiful pieces of furniture and timber. I loved the bathroom and bedroom, especially the theatre doors to bedroom and hanging print on the bedroom wall. All I wanted to do was read a book by the fire all weekend and not leave! My daughters aged 3 and 5 loved it too, but next time I will leave them at home so my husband and I can have a romantic weekend away! I am pretty fussy about holiday houses, this is by the far the best I have stayed in. I wish they were all like this. Comfortable, cosy, homely but luxurious and I can’t wait to return.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tranquil Country Escape Amazing house, sprawling perfect gardens in lush countryside. The backyard looks up to a beautiful hill with wild life to see in the mornings / evenings. Played some soccer in the back yard with my son during the day and at night my wife and I relaxed around the fire with a glass of champagne. The perfect city escape for people needing a re-charge to their mind and body.
