Rated 1 out of 5 by from Treated horribly by Real Estate! Booked Glasshouse in February for a family holiday. After leaving the property in the exact condition that was asked of us, we then had the real estate taking care of the property hold an amount from our bond for outrageous claims. Firstly, we had to pay to have 3 blankets dry cleaned after using them, as they were sitting up in the cupboard of the main bedroom. Nowhere did it state that upon using them, that we would have to pay to have them cleaned! We were told by the real estate afterwards that we were not allowed to use them- not sure why they are even there in the first place! Secondly, they proceeded to claim that we left the property in 'a mess' and in their opinion, 'had gotten off lightly' with the amount that they had withheld from our bond. After a week of speaking with 3 different people, they informed my that the bond money was actually used for cleaning and waxing of the floors as we left scratches on the floorboards in some areas. Photos were provided but as we did not anticipate these outrageous claims, we did not have any proof that they were taken from the actual property we stayed at and its prior condition. After deciding to take the matter further, we were informed that it would be a waste of our time due to the ridiculous nature of the claims and the real estates poor attitude and work ethics. Being a property owner more then once over and a landlord myself, I can honestly say that Raine and Horne Kiama are the worst real estate I have ever dealt with.
