Merimbula boasts an impressive range of restaurants, clubs and coffee shops including family favourites: McDonalds and Subway. Please note that the property is situated in a quiet residential area and as such any undue noise between the hours of 10 pm and 7am would not be acceptable. Please bear this in mind before making your booking. I would suggest that it is only suitable for family bookings and most certainly not " boys on tour" .
Adult only bookings are not acceptable.
The property is only a 10 minute drive from the airport and both local golf courses and 5 minutes drive from "Magic Mountain" - Merimbula's famous family theme park.
The house will provide accommodation for ten via a queen sized double bed,a standard double bed, two sets of large single bunk beds and a king single bed with pull out trundle bed. Both top bunk beds have safety rails.
The house has a large balcony overelooking a green belt and Bar Beach (spotting occassional swamp wallabies, sulphur crested cockatoo's and kookaburra's are a firm favourite with small children).
The front garden has a large outdoor entertaining area with two courtyards (seating for two large families) surrounded by rose bushes and sage.
The side and back garden have an outdoor shower and racks for storing surf boards, wet suits and other beach gear. Both the balcony and rear garden area can be enclosed to keep pets safe and happy while owners are away on seaside trips to the beaches and other nearby attractions.
Cwm Rhondda ("Cwm" is Welsh for "cirque") was designed and renovated as a luxurious and convenient large family holiday home. This means that the needs of pets, children, outdoor entertainment and beach gear & activities are all important parts of this large and luxurious family holiday house that will feel like home away from home to all ages from Nan and Pop to the littlest of all the kids.
Cwm Rhondda has all the usual amenities and more.... 26 inch screens keep "IT" kids entertained in the large family kitchen while the designated "holiday chefs" prepare special meals in a kitchen that is fully equipped (gas stove, electric oven, dishwasher, 45 litre microwave oven, 7kg washing machine, 6kg dryer, double door 660 litre fridge freezer, typical small appliances, corning ware dishes, stainless steel pots and pans, etc.) to serve 8 people at the kitchen table and another 4 at the kitchen counter - with a magnificent dining room suite in the dining room providing an elegant setting for those extra special family occassions.
All types of entertainment are available in the area ranging from surfing, kite surfing, stand-up paddle boarding, snorkelling, scuba diving, boogie boarding and swimming at Merimbula's many quality beaches. (On request, we can provide boogie boards and flippers.)
Merimbula is home to many many restaurants, coffee shops, resort boutiques, a cinema, four local clubs, a family theme park and an enormous local wildlife park where animal petting and feeding are part of the fun. Less than half an hour south is Eden, where you will discover the magic of the killer whales that helped the pioneers catch fish and where the Young Endeavour calls into port to remind young and old alike of Australia's maritime history.... A similair distance inland is Bega where Australia's famous Bega Cheese Factory and Museum delight cheese lovers of all ages. For a gardening and outdoor experience quite beyond the ordinairy, Pambula's "the Barn" is an award winning nursery with an enormous treasure trove of antiques, Australian local art, food and wine and a "touch-farm" where children can choose to ride ponies or camels(!!) while parents enjoy memorable coffees and scrumptious gourmet lunches and light meals.

For an additional charge of $120 we provide linen with all the beds made up before you arrive; and only request that you bring your own towels and beach towels. (On request, we may be able to assist with towels.)
For an optional cleaning charge of $150, you can end your holiday stay with a smooth departure free of any cleaning chores.
