The Treehouse looks up into the trees with shimmering water glimpses just visible through the forest. The cottage is located in a quiet cul de sac, and although there is a short walk to the beach through the forest, to drive is around the block - which means no traffic!
Our cottage is designed for a couples experience - but if you would like to bring your friends, we have a second room available for just $40 per night - although the booking says this is per person, it's not, it's for the room with one or two people. We hope you would enjoy sharing The Treehouse with your friends
We have comfortable NEW queen size beds, and if you choose the linen hire option, we have lovely day spa quality towels and linen.
The cottage is light and spacious.
We have a two night mininum stay at most times of the year, and seven nights during the peak season.
Our guests enjoy The Treehouse exclusively.
Interaction with Guests
We sometimes stay and have our own private quarters at The Treehouse which are completely separate to the guest accommodation.
This is an exceptionally quiet neighbourhood, with plenty of wildlife including wallabies, possums, and a lot of birds. A great place to see Satin Bower birds, Kookaburras, Currawongs and parrots landing right on the balcony.
There is NO public transport at Mystery Bay. We love to arrive with our provisions and go about on foot whilst we are in the bay.
Other Things to Note
There is very little phone reception at Mystery Bay. Please make use of our guest phone to make your calls whilst staying with us.
There are NO SHOPS, PUBS, RESTAURANTS, SERVICE STATIONS or other commercial enterprises as Mystery Bay. This is a quiet hamlet for nature lovers.
The entrance to the National Park can be seen from the balcony of The Treehouse. It's a great spot for bushwalking, cycling, or driving to excluded National Parks beaches.
We often see seals swimming in the ocean at dusk, but then, we are the quiet types, and perhaps that may be why.
Off the coast of Mystery Bay is Montague Island, and the balcony of The Treehouse faces directly into the face of Montague, but you can't see it because of the beautiful tall timbers surrounding the cottage.
You will need to bring provisions for your cooking - we provide stainless steel cookware and Maxwell Williams dinnersets, all white, like the cottage.
The Treehouse is the south coast home of Figtree Food Company, and our produce is available at local providores in the region.
