Situated in a quiet town yet only 10 minutes drive to the hub of Nowra.
If you want more of a boutique style of shop - you can visit the quaint town of Berry. Where you can visit the many clothes, homewares, jewellery & antique stores, or you can have a delicious meal or cup of coffee at one of the many cafes.
There is a winery just a few metres down the road called Cambewarra Winery - well known for it's wines in the area. They take bookings for Sunday lunches there and have wine tastings every weekend & Public Holiday from 10am to 5pm.
Or you can visit the picturesque Silos 15 minutes away for a meal in their award winning restaurant and tasting of their boutique wines.
BUNDANON HOMESTEAD & ARTHUR BOYD'S STUDIO
Just down the road is a major attraction of Arthur Boyd's 'gift to the Nation' - Bundanon
Each Sunday, this beautiful heritage listed property is open to the public from 10:30am – 4pm.
Take a guided tour through the Bundanon Homestead and Arthur Boyd’s Studio, explore the homestead gardens with their sculptures of the Boyd family and friends or take one of the four marked bushwalks down to the riverbank or through the eucalypt forests.
The gardens provide a picturesque setting for a picnic lunch, and you can even help yourself to tea and coffee in the homestead kitchen.
As well as immersing yourself in the site’s natural beauty, explore its cultural heritage.
There are regular events held there including live music, exhibitions and other creative highlights
This is a real treat for you and the kids. We are the largest zoo on the NSW South Coast, bringing together over 100 species of native and exotic mammals, birds and reptiles.
Set in 16 acres of native bushland and resting on the banks of the beautiful Shoalhaven River. With regular talks, or hold a koala, experience the monkey madness show, or do one of the fun bush walks.
They have now recently installed a Tree Adventure park where you can Zip between the trees at frightening speeds on our flying foxes – the longest more than 100m, while cargo nets, rope bridges and wooden obstacles offer physical challenges high above the ground. There’s even an airborne skateboard
Definitely worth a visit is the Cambewarra Lookout & restaurant.
Enjoy a cuppa or lunch whilst enjoying the spectacular view over the whole area.

THE LOCAL PUB
The local pub is called North Nowra Tavern and has weekly specials from $10, trivia, live music and much more. There is also a free courtesy bus from Wednesday to Sunday.
Tucked between rainforests, gently sloping hills and a dramatic mountainscape this area is a breathtaking part of the world - and an idyllic escape from the bustle of city life.
Kayak down the picturesque Kangaroo River, explore the majestic Fitzroy Falls, visit the Kangaroo Valley Pioneer Museum, grab a pie at the Kangaroo Valley Pie Shop.
ADVENTURE & SPORT
Known for our beautiful golf courses, you have lots to choose from.... The closest is just a 5 minute drive - Nowra Golf Club, there is also Shoalhaven Heads, Gerroa & Kiama Golf clubs.
The Shoalhaven boasts numerous scenic walks, with varying levels of difficulty, catering for those who enjoy a lazy stroll through to tracks to keep the keenest hiker on their toes...
'Bens Walk' commences at the Shoalhaven Showground. Superb views of the river, golf course and mountain scenery can be enjoyed from vantage points along the way. From Hanging Rock, the track descends the cliff face and follows the Nowra Creek beneath huge sandstone boulders and eroded shelves. A suspension bridge has been constructed to provide a loop walk on both sides of the creek and to give access to Depot Farm Recreation Reserve and picnic area.
You can head either head north to Shoalhaven Heads beach, Gerroa, Gerringong or Kiama beach. There is a surf school at Gerroa that is very popular in the area.
Or you can head further south a 30 min drive to the whitest sand in the world - Hyams beach, or Jervis Bay or the fantastic town of Huskisson where you can do Dolphin/Whale watching on one of the cruises.
