Set on the edge of a beautiful National Park, the house has views towards the water, and is only a short stroll to the lagoon and beach.
Two minutes' drive from excellent coffee at general store/post office - also cute coffee cart at beach. Seven minutes' drive from Sussex Inlet: supermarket, fish & chips, pizza, old fashioned cinema, RSL, tennis courts and aquatic centre, boats for hire, etc.
Other local attractions are only a short drive away - see below.
The lagoon 200m away is great for swimming at high tide, and wading/paddling at low tide. Berrara beach - on the other side of the lagoon - is the locals' favourite. Great rocks to explore. There are many other beaches within a short driving distance: Hyams Beach and Huskisson, Sussex Inlet, Bendalong, Mollymook and more.
There are LOTS of bushwalks around. One starts on the bush road at the back of the property - take a 15 min stroll, or take on a 10 km hike. Or drive an hour inland to challenging hikes like Piegeonhouse Mountain and Mt Bushwalker, or to coastal walks at Booderee National Park and Lake Conjola.
The fishing here, and all around, is great.
Swan Lake at Cudmirrah has a great picnic area and boats for hire.
On Sussex Inlet Road, you will find farms selling local free range eggs and fruit and vegies.
At Huskisson ¾ hour, you can catch a dolphin cruise or take a fishing charter through Jervis Bay, or visit the Aboriginal cultural centre/museum. There is a lovely open air public swimming pool, including a fabulous paddling pool for the kids. There is also an information centre.
At Burrill Lake one hour, you can catch a very informative and peaceful lake cruise or fishing charter with Burrill Lake Cruises.
For antiques and a bit of country culture, or top class cuisine, drive to Berry or Milton one hour, in opposite directions, or further inland to Kangaroo Valley one hour or the Southern Highlands.
Also in the area: horse riding and golf.
