Need somewhere to relax? Un-wind from the pressures of business or life? Try a Tree Change before you buy? The Stables is just for you!
How does a pet friendly (small dogs only) cottage with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, with a dam close by located in the foothills of the Cambewarra Range sound?
The Stables is located 375 metres off Illaroo Road, surrounded by trees, has a dam virtually at its door, so children must be supervised at all times, and is on the traffic route for the resident wombats.
There is a slow combustion wood heater for those cool winter days and nights. The kitchen has a dishwasher, gas cook top and a large pantry. The polished timber floor's in the living rooms compliment the modern carpets in the bedrooms. The Stables is a "stiletto free' zone.
There is a small "use and replace" wine cellar which if you use the wine then you replace it with one of a similar dubious quality.
The water supply comes from a tank attached to the cottage. The shower heads are not water savers and there is a six minute timer attached to them so you get a decent shower.
On arrival enjoy the complementary wine, cheese and biscuits. We make a loaf of Trev's yummy bread and have flowers in the rooms.
Although Tapitallee Lodges are self-catering there are enough provisions to get you through breakfast (and a bit more) and the pantry is stocked with olive oil, sauces, rice, pasta and enough food to get you started. You will find cheese, bacon and a litre of milk in the fridge. We try hard to talk our farm chooks into laying some eggs for you although in winter eggs and flowers can be a bit difficult to find.
North Nowra shopping centre, tavern and bakery is about 10 kilometres away.
There is also a coffee grinder, electric frying pan, slow cooker and a rice cooker. Outside there is a barbecue and a small outdoor setting.
People who have stayed at the Stables usually come to relax and do nothing but enjoy the surrounds.
The owners, Carol and Trevor, live on the property so your stay will be private and undisturbed.
