The Tathra Tree House is a unique, cosy timber cottage built on tree poles and set in a (private) sub-tropical garden. A short walk through a lush bush track will lead you to the beach, local bakery, fish'n'chip shop, bowls club, chemist, boutique shops, skate park, surf life saving club and playground. You can park your car in the double carport when you arrive and not need it again until you are ready to leave.
Tathra is a quaint coastal town situated between Merimbula and Bermagui, 20 mins drive from Bega and 3 hours drive from Canberra. Tathra Beach meanders 3km around the shoreline, is patrolled in summer and protected from southerly winds making it great for surfing, board riding and sailboarding. Nearby points of interest include the Old Tathra Wharf, Mimosa Rocks National Park, Bournda National Park and the Bega river.
