Description

Situated two minutes off the Princes Highway half way between Nowra to the north, and the charming village of Milton to the south. Finchley B&B offers 2.5 acres of lightly treed rural land with delightful views including wallabies grazing nearby.

We have a dog-proof fenced yard connected to the rear of the cottage, and at the front, 2 acres of secure open space where dogs or children can have a good run around to let off steam after a long trip in the car.

An additional QS bedroom and full bathroom shower over bath can be made available for larger groups, or used as a small separate unit with separate entrance sub to negotiation.

The Shoalhaven region has become famous for many quality wineries, some with their own restaurants, and some offering jazz events, local exhibitions etc, as well as many quality restaurants and cafes including the world renowned Rick Stein's at Bannisters, in Mollymook, and weekend markets, galleries and museums.

Very conveniently situated within 20 minutes' driving distance of many beautiful Shoalhaven/Jervis Bay beaches, National Parks and bushwalking trails, also Wandandian rainforest and Wandandian Creek, waterfalls and lookouts, such as George Boyd Lookout and Granite Falls. The Shoalhaven and Jervis Bay coast offers many popular fishing spots, and surfing beaches and bays many, dog-friendly, and dolphin-and whale-watching cruises.

The cottage also features some original artworks of local Jervis Bay beaches, available to purchase as a souvenir, also beach bags featuring a choice between three Jervis Bay views.

WANDANDIAN:

Located at the centre of the Shoalhaven, Wandandian village was first established as a postal district in 1860, and has a rich history. The village takes its name from the Wandandian people, the traditional owners of much of the region. The Aboriginal meaning of 'Wandandian' originally Wandrawandian is 'home of lost lovers'.

Bedroom 1: Queen-size bed, built-in robe, electric blankets, bedside lamp and clock. Bedroom 2: Twin beds, electric blankets, bedside lamps, drawers and hanging space; Living area with TV, DVD player, well stocked library and DVD selection, board games, and iPod docking station if you wish to bring your own music. Dining area. Table seating for four and two bar stools at servery bench. Kitchen equipped with microwave, full-size fridge, sandwich toaster, toaster, electric frypan and pantry. Bathroom: walk-in shower baby bath, toddlers' table and chair, porta-cot and high chair available upon request, separate toilet. Breakfast ingredients supplied include coffee, tea, milk, cereals, bread yoghurt, butter, jams, fruit juice, fresh fruit - and organic eggs from our own happy hens. There is also a six seater table and benches for dining al fresco, a BBQ, and outdoor seating on the covered verandah. An additional QS bedded room and full bathroom can also be made available for larger groups, subject to availability and negotiation.

For longer stays, additional cooking facilities can be made available, as well as laundry facilities please talk to your host.

Linen and towels are included.

For a great value meal or take-away 7 days a week, the Blue Dog Café is only 5 minutes away, Bewong Roadhouse cafe, and Luci's pizzas, fish & chips, burgers etc, in Basin View, just a few minutes more.
