Before anything else, here's part of a review from a beaming guest, Felicia, who stayed at Polo Cottage recently. We're new to Stayz, which explains why we don't have any reviews on the site as yet.

In a nutshell
With its scalloped, shingled cladding, detailed timber work, leadlights and beautifully appointed, intimate rooms, Polo Cottage offers a charming, authentic Southern Highlands experience.
Fully self-contained, this storybook cottage accommodates up to four guests in two spacious bedrooms, making it ideal for couples seeking a romantic getaway or families craving a relaxing break from routine by the way, if you need a babysitter, we have some great nannies we can recommend. The cottage is perfect also for honeymooners or wedding guests.
Resting halfway between Bowral and Moss Vale, in elegant Burradoo, this private guesthouse is an ideal base from which to explore all this picturesque region has to offer—from farmers’ markets, antique emporiums and quirky boutiques to beautiful vineyards, stylish cafés and award-winning restaurants.
Polo Cottage is also close to the popular Bong Bong Track, which follows the Wingecarribee River to Moss Vale to the south and Bowral to the north: cows, horses and wildlife inhabit the sprawling paddocks beyond the river. The entrance to the track is just a short walk or bike ride from Riversdale Avenue. Make your way back to the cottage from the river through the tranquil, tree-lined streets of Burradoo, where grand architecture and magnificent gardens abound.
Inside the cottage
Built in 1897 as one of the original cottages for the Burradoo Polo Club, Polo Cottage’s exterior has, except for aesthetic touches, remained unaltered for over a hundred years. Inside, though, it’s has been beautifully restored; it’s now stylishly appointed and deliciously heated.
The light-filled modern kitchen contains everything you need to cook breakfast, lunch and/or dinner. You can dine casually at the small table in the kitchen or in the atmospheric separate dining room. Or, on a clear, sunny day, guests can set up on the generous-sized sandstone table in the garden.
In winter, the snug sitting room with its comfortable chairs, books, magazines and real-flame gas heater, set in the cavity of the original brick fireplace, is an inviting place to unwind. Come spring, the two sun-drenched verandas, looking over the vast grounds of Chevalier College, provide lovely nooks for enjoying a glass of wine or cup of tea.
Both bedrooms feature immaculately presented king-sized beds, one of which can be converted to king-sized singles. Guests will appreciate the cosy doonas and throws on chilly nights. Like the bedrooms, the cottage’s elegant bathroom is large, yet cosy and inviting.
While the minimum stay is two nights, not surprisingly, most guests find it difficult to leave Polo Cottage and extend their stay.
If you’re thinking of relocating to the Highlands and want to trial the area, or renovating an existing home or between properties, we offer great rates for weekly or monthly bookings.

An absolute gem in the Southern Highlands. My partner and I were blown away from the moment we arrived.
This cottage is BEAUTIFUL There is no other way to describe it. We felt like we had stepped back in time with the heritage features throughout, but the modern luxuries that made our stay so enjoyable.
This is a newly renovated place, and you can tell Greg and his wife have poured their hearts into this.
Possibly the best accommodation we have ever stayed in The cottage was immaculate, everything was brand new and beautifully laid out. We were greeted with some chocolates and fresh flowers throughout the cottage.
While we did not meet Greg, he was a fantastic host who made sure the place was heated and warm for our arrival, was very prompt with responding to any questions and made sure we were comfortable.
Wonderful fireplace, really spacious rooms and you have the entire cottage to yourselves.
Fully equipped kitchen with quality tea and coffee. The bed was incredibly comfortable too
My partner and I were still in awe that we had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful place and will definitely be returning.
I could spend days writing about our experience, as there are very few places like this one.
All I can say is you need to visit this cottage and enjoy it yourselves.
