Bowerbird Cottage is a character-filled restored workers cottage located in the picturesque Southern Highlands village of Bundanoon.
Located within easy walking distance of the center of the village, the cottage with its rustic exterior, one acre garden and eclectic comfortable interior is an ideal base to explore the Southern Highlands. Bundanoon is the perfect spot for walking, cycling and recharging.
Your pooch is also welcome at Bowerbird Cottage.
The cottage sleeps up to four adults in two bedrooms, and has two bathrooms, two separate living areas, a dining room and a fully equipped galley kitchen. The verandah has an outdoor dining setting and a lounge, and a wood-fired Weber barbecue is also available.
. The kitchen has an oven, induction hot plates, microwave, range hood, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, toaster, electric kettle, and stick blender.
. The kitchen pantry comes stocked with locally produced products such as honey, jam, bread, milk, muesli, butter, tea/coffee, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar, as well as essentials such as sugar, flour and spices. A little afternoon tea treat also awaits you on your arrival.
. Bedroom one has a vintage queen-size four-poster bed and a built-in wardrobe, bedroom two has an antique cast-iron double bed and a vintage wardrobe. The beds are made up with soft crumbly Belgian linen doona and pillow covers.
. The main bathroom features an antique claw-footed bathtub with a shower above it. The second bathroom features a rainshower. Neither of the bathrooms are ensuite.
. All linen, towels and tea-towels are provided. Organic locally produced soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided.
. The cottage features both fully ducted heating and a slow combustion wood fire with firewood included.
. Free wifi internet access is included, as is free-to-air TV and Netflix. There is also a games cupboard, magazines and books for your entertainment.
. There is an old garage, which while not suitable for cars, is available for bike storage. There is also an outdoor cleaning are for bikes and dogs.
The property is fully fenced and pet friendly and there is a $100 surcharge to have your pet stay. If you intend to bring a pet, please let us know in advance and we will provide you with our terms and conditions regarding pets. A little treat awaits your furry friend on arrival.
Due to the height of the antique beds as well as the presence of a slow combustion heater, the property is not suitable for children.
Located within easy level walking distance of the center of the village and is also within walking distance of Morton National Park and it's many lookouts, walks and bike trails.
Bundanoon railway station, with daily services to Sydney and Canberra is a short 600m walk away.
