The Farm Animals
Crystal Hill Homestead is set on 86 acres and is very quiet, being away and out of site from neighbouring farms. In the paddocks far from the Homestead are friendly goats to visit, pat and feed. Baby goats are born regularly you will probabaly get to cuddle one. Sit down and one is sure to jump on your lap.
We have five majestic alpacas who will want to check you out. These guys are very good guardians of the baby goats and are very aware of new human visitors.
We have Dorper sheep with black heads they are very friendly and enjoy a scratch on the chest.
Lots of beautiful chickens can be fed your kitchen scraps if you want. In spring there'll be little baby chicks to hold and pet. There's usually an abundance of eggs to collect and eat for your breakfast.
The chickens will be waiting for anyone walking near their run early in the morning. They love to get out and scratch around the yards.
There are usually lots of Kangaroos to see. Other wildlife is abundant. The area is favoured by huge yellow tail black Cockatoos, a real treat to see.
Guests who enjoy walking quietly through the bush can see kangaroos and several different wallaby species and some unusual bird life.
