CRYSTAL HILL HOMESTEAD
A magnificent four bedroom stone homestead set high on a hill with magnificent views forever. This cool fresh climate will give great relief to Sydney siders who are ‘over’ the humidity and heat.
Access is level and the home is surrounded by level lawns and gardens, it's completely private, and you are free to go anywhere on the farm as well. The homestead is set on a lovely of 86 acres consisting of natural bush and forest as well as paddocks. The farm has two big barns one friendly sheep and sweet friendly goats to meet. The bush and forest areas have tracks and paths for walking.
The kitchen is fully equipped and basics such as coffee, tea, sugar etc are provided.
Linen and towels all provided, as are basic toiletries.
We live on the farm several hundred metres from the homestead, out of sight or earshot - we keep a low profile.
We are very happy to show you the animals etc. just ask, we’re here to help you, but your privacy and your security are assured.
MINIMUM TWO NIGHTS STAY
The tariff is based from $210 per night, per couple. Except on weekends and during school holidays, where the couples rate is $20.
Individual adults are $110 per night extra, children under 18 are $40 each per night at all times.
Guests have the whole homestead and its gardens to themselves, Guests do not share the homestead with strangers or the owners. One couple to larger groups are welcome to stay. An individual booking the Homestead would pay the couples rate for 2 nights and the single rate of $110 for every other night of their stay.
E.G. The tariff for two couples for two nights would start from $780. Discounts apply for large groups of 6 adults or more and for stayz of 5 days or more.
On the same farm there’s a very comfortable three bedroom self contained apartment for extra large groups. This can. be reserved for groups who take the homestead. Speak to us about booking.
WELCOMING and WARM
The homestead has beautiful high timber cathedral ceilings. The interior stone walls are dotted with natural crystals, the homestead was lovingly built from stone from this property. A slow combustion wood fire adds to the warm atmosphere. We provide mountains of split wood on the back verandah for you. The fire is set and ready to light on your arrival. For late arrivals we’ll have the fire going and the homestead warmed and comfortable for you.
The fully equipped kitchen has both a wood burning stove and a gas AGA cooker with electric ovens perfect for the gourmet guest. An Upstairs bedroom suite has a king size bed, sitting room with TV and ensuite spar bathroom. there is also a sofa bed upstairs on the messanine Downstairs has three bedrooms with Queen size beds. A big bathroom downstairs also has a double vanity, toilet, shower and bath.
The house could suit up to 4 couples or a large family.
A huge covered outdoor eating area features gas BBQ and wood fired Pizza oven a very long heavy timber table seats 14 or more people. This area opening straight out onto level lawns.
"Nobody smokes here anymore" is our policy for the whole farm and of course our accommodation. If you are a closet smoker please don’t throw your buts in our grounds. Please take them with you.

Extra matresses for children are available
are welcome at $10 per night for one large or two small dogs.
Goulburn city is only a 20 minute drive from Crystal Hill Homestead. Aldi, Woolworths, Coles and most other shops are available in this big inland city. There are numerous cafes, restaurants and just about all the takeway food chains are represented. Lilac City Cinema offer four theatres.
Crystal Hill Homestead is only 5K from the highway on the Sydney side of Goulburn. It is easy to find but far enough away to be very quiet.

THINGS TO SEE
A trip to Goulburn would not be complete for children without a visit to the big Merino, and for adults a wonderful shop full of top quality woollen products, lavender products and Aussie themed gifts.
INFORMATION CENTRE has maps and a Tesla recharge centre.
An amazing historic train museum features Goulburn's long association with rail being the first place to have a train line.
The old brewery has markets each Sunday and the town has a street Market each month.
Goulburn has a long history of cycling and cycle racing so a visit to the Greengrocer Cafe is the place to see some amazing state of the art bikes. GG also has great coffee and food.
Goulburn was once an extremely wealthy wool growing area on the ‘sheeps’ back’ so it feature many really beautiful well preserved and cared for cathedrals and churches and civic buildings.
Goulburn has a wonderful Regional Art Gallery in our modernist council building in Burke Street.
Crystal Hill Homestead is set on 86 acres and is very quiet, being away and out of site from neighbouring farms. In the paddocks away from the Homestead are friendly goats to visit, pat and feed. Baby goats are born regularly you will probabaly get to cuddle one.
Lots of beautiful chickens can be fed your kitchen scraps if you want. In spring and summer there'll be little baby chicks to hold and pet. There's usually an abundance of eggs to collect and eat for your breakfast. except in Autumn when our chickens are in moult.
We have ducks with ducklings born regularly through summer.
There are usually lots of Kangaroos to see. Other wildlife is abundant. The area is favoured by huge yellow tail black Cockatoos, a real treat to see.
Guests who enjoy walking quietly through the bush can see kangaroos and several different wallaby species and some unusual bird life.
Your dog can run free around the spacious grounds around the homestead and is welcome inside. Please restrain your dog on leach if he/she chases stock or wildlife when outside of the house yard.
